Awesome trailer

As much as my enthusiasm is diminishing for Thor (which i'll still see) my anticipation is rising with every new information we get on Captain America.

I like the decision to set it mostly during WW2, the visual style (a bit too "high tech" for the 40s but hey.. it's a comic book movie), the little geek tidbits (Mr. Stark, Dum Dum Dugan and the Howling Commandos) and above all.. Cap throwing/bouncing his shield around.

I especially give props to the effect guys for making Evans the whimp by CGI or whatever they used to make him the weakling Rogers pre-supersoldier. That looked really good and came off really well.. additionally he is one of the very few superhero actors who actually have a physique similar to the comicbook character (discounting the most exaggerated artworks of course).

Definitely looking forward to the movie.

Second all of that.

I think they did the best job they could at making that lab equipment look old-fashioned, though. The green enamel paint job on Rogers' "conversion chamber" or whatever is a great touch.

Funny thing is, I had higher hopes for Thor initially due to the director (Kenneth Branagh) but it's starting to look not too great from the trailers. Captain America I had lower expectations for due to the director (Joe Johnston, a good concept artist but not a great director.)-but it looks like it will be better than Thor IMO.

Do we know if this one is going to have any post-credits scene yet? I know it's still early to ask that, but I realized earlier that so far each of the pre-Avengers movies has had one set up the next movie.

Looks like "Dum Dum" Dugan there to the right of Cap as they come through the door shooting.

there was a rumour of some kind of teaser for the Avengers showing Loki with the Cosmic Cube...

could THAT be the Captain America post-credits scene?

^ I believe they're calling the cube the "Tesseract" in the film. I hadn't heard that rumor regarding Loki.

Could be. If they continue to set up the next movie then it would probably be something Cap related in Thor's. We've already had Tony Stark cross over into The Incredible Hulk, so it wouldn't be the first time a character from one movie appeared in another.
Does anyone know how they're going to explain Sam Jackson's Nick Fury being in this and the other movies?

what's to explain? he's head of SHIELD. in the title sequence of TIH you see a SHIELD recquisition form for the sonic cannons and a diagram for them, with the Stark logo on. SHIELD was then name-checked when they were trying to find out who Mr Blue was.

don't see how Coulson appearing in Thor or Fury in Cap America should be any different.

I'll bet dollars to donuts that SHIELD are the ones who pull Cap out of the sea in CA:TFA. or thaw him out or whatever.

Could be Nick based on the hair and 5 O'clock shadow. Looking at the cast list on IMDB I thinks its Bucky. (Sebastian Stan). The guy in the beret has to be Pinky but again looking at IMDB its more likely Union Jack/Lord Fawlsworth.

I'm thinking JD meant how and when Fury is going to be shown in the film, which is something that no one knows at the moment. I believe that it's been confirmed his role is not large at all. I suspect we'll see him near the end of the film, in the present rather than in the past, but that's just my guess. If anything they'll be setting up "Avengers" in the post credit sequence if there is one not Cap 2.
