It looks to me in the pics it is modern day, plus Nic Fury, so I'm thinking he is in modern day at some pont in the movie. Unless Nic Fury is ageless. I know black people hold thier age, but that's a bit of a streatch. I wonder how Cap will react to world if integration and Japaneese and Germans are not the enemy?

Maybe the sequel will be like that one Mel Gibson movie, Forever Young. But with 100% more ass kicking and taking names.

Here is another possibility - the wake-up in present day takes place at the beginning of the film. The rest is a flashback of Cap re-telling his first adventure.

That could also explain how Nick Fury is in the movie. Because I've been wondering about that since it was first announced Samuel L. Jackson was in the movie.

i was going to say it could be half and half with flashbacks. they did that in the first Ultimate Cap annual, using flashbacks to a mission in WW2, tied into the present day story.

IRC, the Cap movie is bookended with present day scenes.

In the comics he does benefit from the effects of the Infinity Formula which lets him age much slower than normal.

The sequel could be a half WW2/half modern day kind of story, with lots of flashbacks.

That would be my guess, especially if the WWII scenes in the first movie prove to be the most popular bits of it.

Do they really need to explain it? Studies have shown that movies with Samuel L. Jackson in them are 95% better than they would have been without him.

The "Captain America: First Avenger" soundtrack album has been given a release date for July 19th. It's expected to contain Alan Silvestri's score along with a song that he co-wrote for the film. No track listing or cover art is available yet.

The Ultimates first arc did a pretty good job of showing Cap reacting to the modern world in the sense that he basically kind of doesn't deal with it and focuses on being Captain America still.

As for how Nick Fury appears I've read several different rumors regarding that. Including one that we won't see him until the end of the film.

^ I'm not expressing it correctly but Steve kind of shuts down emotionally...and it really doesn't help matters for him. I'm not really doing a good job of conveying what I took from it lol. I don't think they'll go this route in the Avengers.

As for how Nick Fury appears I've read several different rumors regarding that. Including one that we won't see him until the end of the film.

Nick Fury has time travel powers and will appear during key sequences to help Cap as a force ghost. Everybody knows this.
