When Sharon Carter asked him how he dodges bullets, he replied that, "I can see faster", whatever that means.
Last I heard, SLJ has signed on to play Fury NINE times in the various Marvel movies.

What about the Hoff for Captain America?!
I'm surprised to see a few US posters suggesting Aussies (the Hemsworth boys, Worthington) for such an All-American hero. I would have thought you'd all be insistent he be played by a Yank? I don't often think that nationality is that important in casting but I can certainly understand why people would want Captain America played by someone with an American passport.

I hope that whatever big manly teen-swoony heartthrob hunk of American man they get, they don't just cast another guy as his weakling version. I'd love to see Avatar-level effects work to transform him into a scrawny dweeb(and to enhance his muscular awesomeness later on). Allows a much wider range of actors to choose from too.

^ I'd imagine that's what they'll do. I mean, in Spider-man they were able to show Peter Parker as a scrawny teen in one shot, then toned and buff in pretty much the next. I'd imagine doing so now, almost a decade later, will be a piece of cake.

That was a far smaller difference. Just a matter of shooting him once early in the shoot and then again after a few months of working out and with some airbrushing, he was still skinny, just fit. Wimpy Steve's transformation into Captain America is 100x more drastic. Think Christian Bale in The Machinist vs. him in Batman Begins or American Psycho, but with more bulk.
It occurs to me to hope Steve will not 'hulk out' for his transformation. I'd prefer them thinking it a failure at first and then him eating like crazy as his body begins the transformation over the course of several days at least. That mass has to come from somewhere.

Yeah, I could totally see him as Captain America. I think my wife would be happy with that casting too.
Ryan McPartlin (from the series Chuck) would seem to be one of the top rumored candidates for the role.Captain Awesome for Captain America!

They've made smart choices with actors who have credibility. There are Acadamey award winners or nominees in all three to date. My thinking is we will have a solid cast and that whoever Cap/Steve is it will not be Tatum Channing.
After the choices Marvel Studios made with their Iron Man, Incredible Hulk and Thor castings I wasn't worried they might go with the "now" crowd.
They've made smart choices with actors who have credibility. There are Acadamey award winners or nominees in all three to date. My thinking is we will have a solid cast and that whoever Cap/Steve is it will not be Tatum Channing.
