Captain America: Civil War - pre-release discussion, news, rumors, etc

I was watching an interview clip about Spider-Man just now, and I finally figured out something that has been bugging me about the suit. The spider symbol on his chest is way smaller that it usually is.

It's smaller than on previous movie costumes, but not too much smaller than it was on the original Ditko/Romita comics design. Judging from this infographic, it seems closest to the Ultimate Universe Spidey's chest logo.

I guess it might be. I was looking through the image gallery for Spider-Man on the Marvel Comics Database (wiki) and I was surprised just how much the size has changed over time. I always thought it as being big enough to cover most of the center of his chest.
EDIT: I just flipped through the digital collection of Kraven's First Hunt, the most recent Spidey comic I have, and the spider isn't really that much bigger than the MCU version's there too.
