Ahem, with that said, part of the charm of Robau's meme is that his actor Faran Tahir became aware of the meme and responded favorably and with flattery. There's an interview somewhere on Youtube where a reporter asks him about the meme and the both end up trading Robau Facts. That right there just warmly encourages people to come up with more.

All quite true, and perhaps someone (or even a group of someones) could take it upon themselves to collect and codify the best entries of the "Facts about Captain Robau" thread and make them available for viewing on a web page or blog, to which new material might also periodically be added. Anyone brave enough to take on such a task will almost certainly become aware that, though the real gems were numerous, the amount of chaff and outright spam in that thread grew to be staggering (Rush, et al, here's where you get to take your bow ) and it's that signal-to-noise ratio that's one of the reasons we won't be doing another "Facts about Captain Robau" thread.

The other reason, of course (as I pointed out all the way back here) is that it's already been done. It began and evolved organically, and there's no sure way of consciously and deliberately duplicating that. So don't even try - it was part of and intertwined with the last movie, anyway. Don't anyone try to force the next meme, either, because that almost never works; instead, you can each be ready to recognize it when it does happen, whenever that might be.
