the imdb.com has it for 2010 but is only in development with no info.

A remake was in the works for Peter Hyams' 1978 sci-fi thriller "Capricorn One".

John Moore will direct a remake of the 1978 conspiracy thriller Capricorn One for New Regency, reports Variety.

Peter Hyams To Remake Capricorn One
February 9th, 2007
Hyams is developing a remake of the film called… Capricorn Two.
Peter Buchman (Jurassic Park III, Eragon) is writing the script.

Any real updates?

2008 thread Capricorn One remake....why?

To update the concept, they're including a female astronaut among the group this time around. Word is they're talking to Casey Anthony about playing O.J.'s part.

Do we really new a new version of this movie? I mean we alrteady have enough stupid people and conspiracy nutjobs who think the original was a documentary.

Do they mention that she is there just because she is a woman, and they want to look "stylish" and many men much more talented were turned down in favour of her?

A stupid movie to begin with, the remake is a bad idea, hope it gets flushed away... the only reason I'd watch it again is the OJ-creepy factor.

The idea that they'd plan the whole thing and forget to add the time delay for the radio traffic is so idiotic Ed Wood would be embarrassed to use it.

I like the original, even if the premise is rather silly. I'm not sure what new ground a remake will be able to get out of the concept, though (nor how well it will play removed from the paranoia of the 1970s).

Oh, I think the paranoia of the present day works juuuuust fine... that'll be the least of their worries.

Always remember, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you! :D

However, Casey Anthony opted out of the film project because she felt the film’s [sic] shoosting schedule would interfere with her social life.

So the producers have offered the role to Lisa Nowak. They cite that what she lacks in acting she makes up for in her training and experience as a real life astronaut which will bring a touch of realism to the film that no actor ever could.

I am from Holland. Isn’t that veerd? Ahahaha. V’ger (Far-jer) can you hear me? Dutch hater! I love gold! The look of it, the smell of it, the taste of it.
