People use to make fun of Shatner because he was in several episodes of Trek playing two of him self, or heck, even playing his dead brother (Sam). Let me see...The Enemy With In, Mirror Mirror, What are Little Girls Made Of, The Garth episode, is that all of them? Throw in his playing Sam in operation Kill ( I cant spell anhilate, so there!) and that means five times he played multiple characters...that is a lot..

But what about Picard and Data. How many times did those two appear in episodes where they played two or more roles? I think they both out did Shatner.

Spiner, I'll grant you, but for Picard I can only think of AGT and Yesterday's Enterprise, and in both those he was just playing different timeline versions of himself. Am I being dumb here?

No, you're not dumb at all. It just took me sometime, too, to think of how many times Patrick did it.. here is what I have so far..

The Defector (he is one the extras in the shakespear scene at the start)

There is also the second season episode "Time Squared," where a duplicate Picard from a few hours in the future is found in a shuttlecraft.

I would have loved to see Stewart do an actual Mirror Picard (like in Diane Duane's novel Dark Mirror.) Maybe that's why I've written so many Mirror Picard fanfics and why I was so damn disappointed in Nemesis!
