I know it's a long shot but maybe someone like Sci-fi will pick up Enterprise, hell they picked up Andromeda, a show that is way below the quality of Enterprise.

This is one big problem with this, Les moonves not only ordered it to be cancelled on UPN, but has told Paramount to shut it down as well. If he only controlled UPN then Paramount might have searched for a new home (like SG1, Andromeda ect.). But when you control both the network and the studio that makes the show, that will kill it out right. Bottomline is unless Les Moonves changes his mind or a new president comes along the show will remain dead as well as any movie at least for 2 to 4 years. it's that simple

I could have sworn the release said "not to be seen ON UPN after this season."

I wish I could say I was sorry for the show, but there really is an evil grin across my face.

I'm sorry for that.

And sorry for you lot.

Maybe we should all write letters to Sci-Fi and other channels hoping they will pick it up. (Trying to stay optimistic here.)

We need to right some letters, none-the-less. Get some addresses anf phone numbers in here, pronto!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the cast and crew of Enterprise for all of their hard work and dedication. Star Trek was the first sci-fi show I watched and it was the one and only show I saw as a kid where I saw people being treated equally and fairly regardless of their circumstances. It was a good message to learn for a kid who was different growing up in rural Ohio. There is so much power in the message of "We can be more than what we are.", and I think that will be the message I take from Star Trek most of all.

*raises a glass* To the Journey.

I'm so sorry to hear this, guys... :(

My heart goes out to all the fans, cast and crew, whose tireless devotion has kept the TV shows alive for 18 years (that's like...90% of my lifetime ). Thank you for everything.

On the bright side: Trek will finally get the rest it's needed for so long. And one day, it will return.

I am so pissed off right now, you won't believe it. Screw you, UPN, screw you.

Another raised glass...*To Enterprise*

*To Enterprise*

Well, needless to say I'm extremely sad right now too. Star Trek Enterprise was my one treat, my one self indulgance for the week. The one hour when I could sit back and say "this is for me"... Damn you UPN, damn you for taking that away from me...

UPN, I hope your "re-imaging" goes they way you want it to.... because it certainly will not BE WITH ME.... As far as I'm concerned, on the last episode airs, I'll never be watching that sorry excuse for a network again...

I've gotta go now...

Now I almost feel foolish for my obnoxious Phloxian optimism! I just couldn't believe they'd do this. It's not just about ENT and crappy ratings on a friday night with no promotions. It's about the entire Star Trek franchise. I simply couldn't believe that Moonves or anyone would so callously kill it, which it what they have done. There will be no new series or movie. There will be no two or three year break, no matter what Moonves says. Star Trek is DEAD as of the series finale of ENT.

I actually wanted to thank you, KTR, for being one of the bright spots on the boards. You always echoed what I felt about the show--that this season didn't feel like a desperate last season. It didn't act like something on its last legs. You echo my thoughts once again as to the fate of the franchise. But I too raise my glass to the show. I have really enjoyed it, and the bbs community.

I've had a number of shows cancelled on me that I really enjoyed (John Doe for one) and I've always wanted to be able to offer thanks to the cast and crew. As I've seen at least two or three actual people connected to the show post here, I'll ask them to pass on those thanks (if they manage to get through this thread). I started out watching Trek in re-runs in the 70's, so I remember a time when nothing new was on, but as others point out, it'll be weird to not have new Trek on during the year. I've seen every episode of every series (almost all in first run besides TOS) and while some series have not been as good as the others overall, each offered some excellent moments--including Enterprise.

Good luck to the cast and crew and staff. Now, let's sit back and enjoy the rest of the ride.

A sad day for Trek. I'm going to savour those last 10 episodes. :(

I hope to God that Trek never returns to UPN. I hope the next show will be syndicated.

The problem with this is that cause Moonves controls the Paramount Studio as well, that make the show, it seems like he wants NOTHING of Trek to be made at this point. SOOOOO it won't be available to anyone else, SCIFI, NBC, etc for purchase, cause he doesn't want it made period. Too much power for one person. I don't know what bug is up his butt but wish someone would fix it for him. To quote Robin Williams, "he is in the most need for getting laid of any white man in history" ....where is Bubba when you need him....

So long Enterprise. It was nice while it lasted. After 18 straight years on TV, and 25 seasons, Star Trek goes on hiatus again.

We still have 10 more new episodes to watch. We should try to savor them since it could be a long time before Trek comes back.

UPN are a bunch of ***** idiots.

And so is anyone who gloats about this decision.

(Flaming/trolling warning anticipated and accepted without argument).

Alex

Yeah, warning for flaming. :( Let us deal with the gloaters. :(

My first warning. At least I saved it for a special occasion. I imagine I won't be the only one doing knee-jerk reactions today. As I say, warning accepted.

P.S. I went back and removed the profanity from my original post. I'm sure I have kindred spirits but it was a bit much. Beg pardon.

Cheers

Alex
