I'm bringing in three options this week. I'm betting on one of the new ABC comedies completely tanking.

Already Cancelled:

How To Be a Gentleman (CBS)
H8R (CW)
Free Agents (NBC)
The Playboy Club (NBC)

I withstood 10 minutes of the Charlie's Angles pilot before I switched it off and fondly reminisced about VIP and Fastlane.

How to be a Gentleman was written by someone heart-struck still about the cancellation of Frasier furious that Niles didn't get his own spinoff... Actually? Where are the Frasier people on Hot in Cleveland? I've seen the Mommy from One day at a time and Mary Tyler Moore do guest spots but no sign of David Hyde Pierce or John Mahoney?

Oh God.

David Spade.

I hate the thought of that guy getting work.

...

On of the best lines from Suits last season was "THAT'S TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR! Niles Crane was a completely misunderstood character."

Edit.

John's been in Hot in Cleveland.

My bad.

Man Up

So are we giving a reprieve to HTBAG, see how it does in a Saturday slot first now that CBS moved it.

So all the comedies about how men are doomed are themselves doomed? Does that mean men aren't doomed after all, or are even more doomed than we thought? :rommie:

That happens all the time.

It's called not picking up a pilot.
That's not really the same thing as cancellation, though. There have, however, been a handful of times when a network has ordered a pilot to series, produced half a dozen or so episodes, and then been so unhappy with the results that they've cancelled the show without a single episode ever airing.

Yeah but were these shows actually put on the schedule with a scheduled premier date?

Man Up sounds absolutely atrocious. I don't know if it's the next one cancelled, but I have no doubt it should be.

Pan Am started well, but has dropped dramatically over its subsequent episodes. It's down to a 1.9 in the demo, putting it at serious risk. I think Charlie's Angels will be the next to go, but it looks like Pan Am will also be gone before too long.
