Can Michael Jackson make a comeback?

I'll admit it, I'm a Michael Jackson fan and I long for him to be at the top again.

I would love to see another great album and dance moves from this guy, but I don't think that is likely, but I can still hope.

What do you guys/gals think?

No way... The man has become more than a joke and i don't think anything can save him.

Besides, I don't think that his overall health would allow him a comeback with world tours etc etc

It's kind of like OJ trying to make a comeback as an effective ad pitchman...it COULD happen, supposedly, but the likelihood is insanely low.

During election season, just have Jackson come out against a candidate in a political ad, then you'll have the other side unconditionally eating out of his colorless hands.

"If a child molester can't trust John McCain, can you? NAMBLA For Obama."

As long as the next album proves to be at least half as good as Thriller... and you keep him away from the little children... :shifty:

Except that Michael Jackson, love him or not, is undeniably INCREDIBLY talented and gifted and his talents for entertainment could POTENTIALLY still be there and used for a comeback. Separating the man from the music is possible, even if not probably.

OJ Simpson, not even close.

Paul McCartney stopped being interesting at a point. MJ has as well, IMO.

No, the image he has built up has irreparably damaged him in the public eye. Even if a new album was the greatest he had ever released, there would still be the shroud of his personal life hanging over it.

Well, he's certainly never going to touch the success of Thriller (then again I doubt anybody will in this day and age), but I do think he could well produce a very successful album.
Part of the problem with Invincible was, plainly and simply, that it wasn't received very well as an album. The same is true for Blood on the Dancefloor as well as History IIRC. If it were well received musically by critics and customers alike I think he'd probably do very well.
His private life has probably damaged his career but I doubt it's actually destroyed it. Still, he'd need to come up with something really great to impress people, I think.

I'd also like to add that the man was acquitted in a court of law. Whether that means he's really innocent or not is a totally different question, but it's something people tend to forget.

NO.
And why would anyone want that P.O.S. to?

It's amazes me how people can forgive piece of shit criminals because they can sing and dance, slam dunk a basketball, run fast for a touchdown or have a good right hook.

You people are sad.

Michael Jackson is and was a sad, miserable, twisted waste of human flesh who, if he any sense of decency at all in him, would have put a shotgun in his mouth and pulled the trigger many years ago WAY before he ever violated a child.
But, perhaps I'm being too kind.

So was O.J. :p

That thought crossed my mind as well. But you can't really compare the two. The allegations Jackson faced were shaky at best. The whole thing really seemed like a money-making scheme on the parts of the parents of that Chandler (was that the name?) kid.

I believe Michael molested little boys. If he didnt why pay off the family of the first one who accused him of molestation. If I was accused of something horrible like that I would be running to court in order to clear my name, not paying the vicitm to keep quiet.

On the other hand, I still think he had talent and it would be cool if he came out with a powerful album and some new dance moves. The world would quickly forget all of his personal problems and go back to honoring him again.

Sooo... you're saying a child molester should be honored? :wtf:
