I figured I'd echo that Q & A was really great.
I figured I'd echo that Q & A was really great.
...without having read any of the other Relaunch stuff? As it stands, I've only read the first two Titan books, and nothing else. But I have the Destiny trilogy sitting on my shelf right now, calling out to me.
Should I wait until I get some of the other books, or can I read this without being too confused?
Here is the list for what to read before the Destiny Trilogy and what order to read them based on the timelines of each book. This list does go a little past Destiny as well.
A Time for War, A Time for Peace
Death in Winter
Taking Wing
The Red King
Articles of the Federation
Orion’s Hounds
Resistance
Q & A
Sword of Damocles
Before Dishonor
Greater than the Sum
Destiny: Gods of Night
Destiny: Mere Mortals
Destiny: Lost Souls
A Singular Destiny
Full Circle
Over A Torrent Sea
Losing the Peace
I would keep Losing the Peace just where it is in case it mentions anything that happens in the ones before it and Destiny. Here is the list for what to read before the Destiny Trilogy and what order to read them based on the timelines of each book. This list does go a little past Destiny as well.

I would suggest placing "Losing the Peace" after "Lost Souls".![]()

I highly recommend getting any of the books in my list that you do not have and reading them all in order.oops. Too late. I'll add that to the list of books I get next, though.
Meaning Articles, as per the original post you had up. lol

Slightly undermining JWolf's authority, I'd second his recommendation for reading through the list, with one exception. I found "Before Dishonor" a bit of a wallbanger, as did many others (there were those who liked it, of course) and I would suggest possibly skipping that one. "Greater Than the Sum" and "Full Circle" will fill you in on the events of "BD" well enough. I would note that I suggesting a Trek book be skipped is a very rare occurrance, so that should convey my disappointment with "BD". I agree reading through all the others will be very pleasing, though![]()

If one book should be skipped from that list it should be Greater than the Sum IMO, the worst book of the 24th Century build-up to Destiny by a long shot.
