Can anyone identify this song?

Since it's a youtube video, maybe you could send a message to the creator asking which song it is.

Unfortunately the creator no longer remembers. Oh well!

Oh, you mean it actually listens to the music and determines where it came from? My, I am so out of touch... ;)

Yep, both apps, which are available on the iPhone also listens to a 10-15 second clip and identify the song, artist, and album. I've had pretty good results with Shazam, I even identified a song from a YouTube video this weekend for my mother, sadly not for this song though.

Fascinating!

It's possible it's just some local artist the YouTube poster used.

That's what I'm starting to think.

Sorry, I meant the guy that did say it.

You don't seem to understand what subjective means. You cannot quantify a voice , so it's subjective.

What on earth are you talking about? If a voice is 'good' is something that would be hard to determine and would be highly subjective but the vocal styles of well-known artists are easy to determine for anyone with a bit of training or an ear in the same way that a wine taster can identity different regions or a art expert can identify a painting. Sure they will get it wrong now and again but 9/10 they will get it right.

If you are familiar with the works of Alanis Morisette you'd have to hear a hearing problem to think that was her.

Ugh. Whatever then, carry on.
You must be a lot of fun when discussion gets away to things like politics or religion, judging by where this one went.

You win.

You must be fun at parties.
You're like the friend that when you point out someone else and say "Doesn't that guy over there look like (______)?" and they say "No. Not at all." and then you say "Really? Not at all??" and they say "That's right...not even a little bit"
You may wonder why people look at you oddly after because you basically made it seem like they were complete idiots.
I wasn't the one that first said it sounded like Alanis. I simply thought it was too much to just say it sounded nothing like her. Saying that Johnnyracefan must have a hearing problem was silly.

Those and similar apps are available on Android as well.

I know, I used them on my Android phone and was trying to explain that they are available on the iPhone also. Unfortunately, when I reread what I wrote, I realized it was confusing!

Are there any other good song tagging apps we could try or are we out of luck?
