Can a Lightsaber.....

A skilled Jedi and reflect bullets back at the shooter. Kyle Katarn does this with ease against stormtroopers wielding machine guns and shotguns in Jedi Outcast.

A bullet would go through the saber, be vaporized, and cause severe scalding damage. Unless the jedi's clothes are heat-resistant.

We saw two Jedi standing beside and fighting on a River of molten lava in nothing but their day to day clothes, yeah I think a melted bullet is a bit of nothing to them.

Yeh but the thing is the Jedi can usually see the energy shots coming at them and they move their light sabers to the energy shot, with bullets how are the Jedi supposed to see the bullets coming? bullets would seem IMO to be far faster than the energy shots.

Energy shots are going to be traveling nearly at the speed of light.

Bullets at a few times the speed of sound.

Stopping a bullet should be no problem for a Jedi.

In fact, a Jedi should be able to carve metal bullets in mid-air into little lead soldiers because they move so much slower than bursts of coherent light.;)
