Calvin and Hobbes appreciation thread

I absolutely love Calvin & Hoobes, thanks for reminding me it might be time to re-read it for the umpteenth time. I always loved Calvin's interactions with Susie, whether it was Calvin losing in a snowball fight or Susie giving him the wrong answers during tests. One of my (many) favourites is when Calvin and Susie are sent to the principal.

Calvin & Hobbs has always been and always will be my favorite comic strip. It's a timeless adventure that perfectly captures the magic of childhood and its boundless imagination. There's simply no topping that.

While the whole archive is available on GoComics, I include the current daily releases as part of my regular GoComics stream...even though the site's recent overhaul has made that reading unnecessarily difficult for the sake of money.

It's always interesting when we get to see somebody other than Calvin's POV - not too often, but just enough that we understand how warped his view of reality can sometimes be.

Except for the odd reference to things like VCRs or cigarette machines, it's mostly timeless.

The things that kid can do with a cardboard box....

GoComics revamp is terrible. If I was inclined to get the paid subscription, their current format killed that desire stone dead.

That was so sad.

The break-in series was a chance to see Calvin's parents as people who love each other and experience worry and doubt, not just Calvin's personal antagonists.
