Callof Duty 4 - crack or super crack?

COD4 is by far my most-played PS3 game. When I bought the console, I got two free games - Uncharted and Resistance: Fall Of Man. I played Resistance and thought "Meh... I'm not seeing the next-gen here." It didn't help that the multiplayer servers were sparsely populated, and the only people on them seemed to be snipe-campers, which made playing as a newbie pretty much zero fun.
Then I bought COD4 the day after, and haven't touched Resistance since. It's by far the best FPS I've ever played (even using the goddamn sloppy Sixaxis sticks rather than keyboard and mouse), and the multiplayer lobby is exactly how it should be done: get into a new game with the minimum of fuss, and no waiting around for one dumb guy to remember to push a button to say that he's ready. Even if something goes wrong and you get kicked, you're less than a minute away from another game.
And the release of the patch that let you mute headset users was pure joy (and I'd only had the game for two days before it was released). Goodbye, Belgian guy singing your national anthem over and over! Get bent, guy who puts his mike next to his stereo so everyone can 'enjoy' a soundtrack of gangsta rap! Burn in a pyre of your own body fat, 14-year-old whose entire vocabulary revolves around the words "fucking" and "faggot"!
Since I've found that my preferred gameplay style is run-and-gun, I've really come to hate snipers on maps like Bloc and the new Creek, though. Bastards. Also, playing in SD puts me at a definite disadvantage against people with 50" HD sets who can pick me out halfway across the map and put a bullet in my head when the killcam replay shows me as nothing more than the tinest blur against the background...

Problem with COD online...
Maps are too linear or small
most of perks are stupid
helis and airstrikes have no place in a small infantry game
no real world bullet Physics like bullet dip
Shoot through walls is abused and unrealistic at times

Well this game is most definitely super crack. I got GTA 4 and was playing it like mad but had to put it away as I heard COD calling out to me from my shelf.

You get points regardless of how well you actually play in that mode, because it keeps ticking as long as your team has capped one of the HQs.
Payndz201-snipers on Creek are proving to be a passing fad. If you like to run-n-gun I suggest 3 stun grenades and a red-dot MP5(or an ACOG if you can use the pieces of crap). I gave up on distance weapons on Creek and my kill count is rising fast. You just have to learn the sniper spots and use the terrain. I'll give you a hint-when a sniper posts on the center ridge/rise above the creekbed itself you can chuck stuns from the cave mouth and disable them long enough to flank w/MP5. That's one more sniper w/a low kill count!

Once you capture a headquarters you get 5 points (alive or dead) every 10 seconds or so until the headquarters is captured or you get to 65 points. First to 250 wins. The bonuses are huge.
I'm around level 25 on my 6th prestige level, 56 levels per prestige, so that would put me at around level 361.
Oh yeah and your voice message was empty, you probably had your mute button turned on when you made it. I do that all the time.
Jeez... 6 prestige levels? Yick.
