burnham reference in coda?

trekmovie's review of "oblivion's gate" https://trekmovie.com/2021/11/30/re...ate-is-an-emotional-action-packed-conclusion/ mentions a michael burnham reference I have yet to find. where is it? and how does it work given that the first splinter is about to end, but discovery's novelverse isn't?
It's on page 130 (at least according to the Kindle edition)
Spock wonders "if this was how Michael felt while she was fighting to save all life in the galaxy from the first omnicidal artificial superintelligence known as Control."

Multiple post-2017 books reference Discovery elements (mostly the Klingon War, IIRC) and since the point of divergence is 2373 there's no reason for Discovery not to have happened and be referenced.

ah! i for some reason assumed it was referencing 32nd-century discovery. but yeah that makes sense.

I suddenly find myself thinking about the ending of DSC/"Where Pleasant Fountains Lie."
