Multiple post-2017 books reference Discovery elements (mostly the Klingon War, IIRC) and since the point of divergence is 2373 there's no reason for Discovery not to have happened and be referenced.
Unless one is a DSC-hating (or should it be DIS-dissing?) malcontent.

It kinda vaguely does, the advanced tech in the mirror universe is basically the programmable matter Disco uses.
I suddenly find myself thinking about the ending of DSC/"Where Pleasant Fountains Lie."
Didn't they have that before DSC did?
Not sure. They would had the tech in-universe with which they created Wesley's cool fighter, but I haven't yet got to the pre-Coda MU books.

I believe the catoms in Destiny were the first use of programmable matter in Trek fiction, though of course the concept has been around somewhat longer in scientific theory and science fiction, notably the fiction of Wil McCarthy.
