Michael tricks a group of modern-day pirates to commit another heist, to find some stolen cargo. A young boy whose family is being terrorized by his abusive stepfather, who is help by Michael, Sam and Fiona. In the meantime, Michael’s new contact, Strickler, returns with an interesting proposition: Work together and he will help Michael get back into the intelligence community.

So, has Strickler replaced Moon Bloodgood as the recurring character of importance this season? And I wonder if the DUI arrest will affect ratings at all. I'm guessing not, but you never know...

I voted it above average (mainly because unlike too many of the recent episodes have abandoned the premise of the previous seasons)... I enjoyed the relationship between the kid and Michael. I liked the ending with the bad dad being hauled off to the funny farm.

And Michael as priest? Awesome. Especially when he winked at his target.

I'll give this one above average, if only for the wonderful way in which they screwed with that poor guy's head.

I watched this episode and said: "Now That's Burn Notice!" Excellent.

And what DUI arrest?

I voted "above average" due to Michael's relationship with the kid and the promise of the Strickler character getting the show back on track. Otherwise, this epi, and several this season, have seemed to be pretty much of a muchness. Turning Fi into a whiny, clingy girlfriend has NOT been helpful. Nor has giving Michael those steely-eyed "I'm an American patriot" speeches or making him an asshole to Fi. It works best when Michael is a thrill-seeker who has a soft spot for people in trouble and doesn't trust the government.

Above average. Nicholas Lea was absolutely wasted, but I like the "Agent to the Spies" and the con they pulled on this guy to make him lose it was great.

Anyone think there's more to Michael's mother than we've seen? She seemed awfully good at the interrogation last week. Maybe somehow she was able to burn him?

That would be an awfully big retcon, I think. I admit to having only seen a couple of episodes from the first two seasons, but it doesn't fit the character of the mother that I've seen. It would make sense that she wanted to keep Michael in Miami close to her, but I haven't seen a lot of evidence that indicates she ever had the means to burn him.

I was always expecting Nate to be more than he let on to be, but I think that ship's long since sailed.

Still wondering if they'd ever resort to bringing daddy back from the dead.

I loved the final play of the sting. "There he is! He was one of the hitmen! And her, she was one, too!"

I have to admit that I've been wondering, for a while, if she somehow had contacts in the intelligence industry. She seemed to know a bit too much about their styles, or stole some of Michael's training manuals somehow.

Interesting, but they really need a change-up in the show. Every episode seems exactly the same and nothing really changes story wise.
