Building the Defiant's crew quarters at home

not sure how to get this image to show but it's the cramped crew quarters on the Defiant with bed, desk, computer screen, etc.
I have a room at home that I think is perfect for this and i'm going to do it, and the bunkbed will be great for my son when he comes to visit from college. Well I little idea how to do this, so does anyone have advice on how to make cool scifi like walls, edges, panels, etc?

Go ahead and copy/paste the link directly into your post; the only way that wouldn't work is if the link itself is incorrect or leads to a defunct image host.

It needs to be the actual image address. You were trying to post the page address. If you right click on image and do copy image address (or open image in new tab and then copy the address) it'll work.

You could cut a little foodslot into the wall to have a replicator.

• there was a person who recentley did a room that matches the interiror of a spaceship from Star Citizen (video game). Only glanced the headline tough.
• in the UK there is a guy who did a TNG themed studio with LCARS panels and all.

Personally I'd look for furinture like bunk beds and such maybe from military/navy, student dorm, capsule hotel suppliers or similiar
+
then create "SciFi" looking panels - probably out of wood (more affordable and easier to build than plastics etc.) - to bold/screw/glue on to give it the desired look.

I remember a few SciFi shows using wood asa base for their sets, that when painted and treated can look like glossy metal or so.

certainly LED strips will be a part of any SciFi build too.

good advice spaceguy. i've seen the england apartment and it's fabulous! What noone? talks about is how they did it, as we only see the final product. I've seen some commercial airplane parts that are obscenely $$. Making it out of wood makes sense, but how to make it out of plastic? it's the how i'm wondering about.
