I can't tell if you're being facetious (in which case I don't know why because I said none of the things you inferred) or serious (in which case I don't know why you'd contradict your earlier statement that it wouldn't be much different from building a cruise ship).

A cruise ship is just like the enterprise with complex machinery.
I was not referring to you at all but to the idea of building a real enterprise.

It is just sheer lunacy.We have starving people everywhere.A huge credit crunch and jobs being lost and to waste money on a madman fantasy.

What if you just built the interior only within a rectangular building? That way you could around the structural support that would be needed if you built the full exterior. You could do the exterior of the building in such a way that you could put panels on it to conform to the interior so that looks like you've built both the exterior and interior. I'm sure uses could be found for all the unused internal spaces like electronics, servers, maintenance rooms etc.
