What's in the water in some of these places??!!
I'm probably thinking about all the SF/F shows I've seen it in. Xena and Angel at least had magical reasons. How Worf's kid got to be 6 years old in less than 2 years is just nuts.

Yes. But did she appeared older than she should be? I don’t remember her ever older than a 6 or seven year old.
Any rapid aging must have occurred on the Enterprise still.
Once Hana Hatae took over the roll from the baby in RASCALS she aged consistently with the actress. Not counting the 18 year old cavewoman version. And I guess at one point they considered keeping her aged up in that episode
Four-year old Hana Hatae first appeared as Molly in the 6th season Next Generation episode Rascals about a year after the character was born in the 5th season episode Disaster, which would make her 11 when Deep Space Nine ended.
Hana Hatae is 30 now. I am so old.

From baby to 6 years old is still rapid aging. And then there was that time episode, but the supernatural can explain that.

Season 4 starts with a somewhat return to the status quo, and one of the better, non-violence, related daddy to son smackdowns I've heard in a while, "I love you Connor, now get out of my house". Man being down in the ocean really does give one perspective, and that talk was my favorite scene in the episode. My other favorite scene was Lilah decapitating Linewood and taking over Wolfram & Hart. This episode was pretty good, dealing with the fallout of the finale and moving forward. I really hope this might show some improvement to the whole Wesley/Angel dynamic thing. Maybe rescuing Angel from the ocean surface will help build some trust back. The Hallucinations were done really well too.

I didn't understand the whole bucket thing. In fact, if I had one criticism of this episode it was Premiere syndrome in that Wesley was just keeping Justine in a cage for 3 months? How?

Which brings up the notion at some point she lost bucket privileges...and then what?
I saw Mad Men before seeing Angel and when I saw Vincent Cartheiser's name in the Angel credits, my jaw dropped. Obviously they did quite a bit with the make-up on Mad Men.
Regarding Gunn, initially I found him to be a rather annoying stereotype. I mentioned this to my daughter and she told me that Gunn gets better and I'd like him more late in the show's run, pretty much what you just said. She was right. Gunn gets A LOT better later on.

Decent episode. The highlight was meeting Gwen, who harnesses and conducts electricity. I liked her personality and she was a good foil for Angel. I also liked the scene with Angel and Lilah (Who is becoming one of this series' stars, by the way) and Angel figuring out that she and Wesley have been "doing it". Cordy really doesn't like those higher planes of existence. I wish the series was a little more clear about what she is up there. I guess the powers wanted her to be up there, but in last episode she said she's bored and in this episode she wants to escape. It must not be very good to be glowing like she is.

The House Always Wins
Boy did Angel take advantage of the Moulin Rouge craze at the time. I think this is the second episode I've heard Lady Marmalade and man Hallett sung that song really well. Also, I loved how this episode took place in Vegas and seeing what Vegas was back then verse what it is now (And I'm going back in a month and the Strip has gotten worse over the years). They even went to Fremont Street which was fun. As for the episode, I'm glad Lorne is still part of this show. He leaves for Vegas and I had a thought maybe that was it. I like Lorne, and this was a good episode for him. Also, this episode is a good message on Gambling addiction.
The Cordy storyline is still confusing me. I guess she was sent up in order to help Angel? Now she's back and doesn't know anyone? I look forward to the explanation on that one, and basically what has been happening to her.
Slouching Toward Bethlehem
I'm starting to get really impatient with this Cordelia storyline. It basically started with the finale and now she's back, she has amnesia and I still feel lost. Now I know it's early in the season, but how about giving a little something. The is told by Skip that she is done in this dimension, and the powers need her to be on a higher plane. Ok, that's fine, but jump ahead 3 months and what does she do? Other than complain, not really much of anything other than win a spin for Angel. So we have this confused person, freaking out over demons and the like, looks at pictures of herself, and she blames team Angel for lying while Connor admits he tried to kill her? Does the notion of not being overwhelmed mean anything to her? Team Angel did tell her the truth, and tried to let it down easy as to not further freak her out.
Now I admit the more I watch season 4 the more I will probably have a change in attitude on this storyline but a few days ago I was lauding what they were doing with Cordelia and now I just don't know. I hope this isn't on the way to a character assassination because the writers have really done a good job with Cordy on this series and I just hope the payoff is well worth waiting for.
