Tbh, Bryan Fuller's version of DIS really is one of Star Trek's biggest "What-if's".
Like "Phase 2", or the Jeffrey Hunter version of TOS.
So much of what came after was built on these, so it's not just a "lost story", but like a completely different path the whole franchise could have taken. And, I must be honest, I'm really not a big fan of what happened to the franchise under Kurtzman. So I will always wonder weather I would have liked "that" version of DIS, and whatever the franchise would have put out after that.

We've been over this before. She came from the same talent pool that gave us Henry Alonzo Meyer from SNW. Was an EP on two shows, including one that went four seasons. Was a writer and story editor on the Magicians. A fantasy (Sci Fi's kissing cousin) show that went for five seasons. How is that not a "track record".

Also a show about college students, so the relevance to Starfleet Academy is obvious. And a really good show in general.

I thoroughly enjoyed Hannibal before it was axed. I Loved American Gods season 1 before he jumped ship to Discovery and er, slipped off the port-side. To my mind Discovery took too long to figure out what it wanted to be - a luxury afforded to few shows in the streaming era. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of where it settled.

With respect to fans of the show, I'd happily erase all five seasons just to see one season of Fuller's.

I bolded what I agree with... 1,000%. I doubt that Fuller season would have been worse than what we actually got.

Agreed fully. Bryan Fuller had more talent than everyone on DISCO's writing staff. Combined.
