Bruce Willis confirms Die Hard 5

The thing that kills 'Die Hard 2' for me is the "Oh man, NOT THIS AGAIN!" sequel humor that permeates the entire movie. The action sequences are fine enough, but it seems like too often, McClane is whining about how he just did all this last year. And when I hear that, I can't keep from thinking, "Yeah. Tell me about it." 'Die Hard With a Vengeance' references the earlier stuff, but doesn't go overboard with it.

I think Siskel had Die Hard 2 on his Ten Best list. In fact, I think he also had Under Siege on another Ten Best list. He must really love that sort of movie.

So will this next Die Hard be rated PG and be about him running a daycare center?

Knowing our luck McClane will be outside the building under siege this time doing the Al Powell bit whilst Shia Lebeouf is running around inside cgi killing 50 terrorists a minute...

Dammit! Now that you said we'll never get to see this movie happen because the writers won't be able to claim they came up with it first!

:(

ha ha! Good one!:techman: You're right...Shia seems to play the New Young Guy in movies. Well, maybe only two (Indy 4 and the new Wall Street, but nevertheless many seehim that way)

I also ,like Captaindemotion would prefer McClane have his receding hairline and the dirty wife-beater on.

This makes me very happy. I just hope we get a better bad guy this time. Although I do think Timothy Olyphant is a good actor.

I liked just about everything in 4. It was actually that movie that finally made me warm up to Justin Long a little. He's a good sidekick.

And I agree completely in getting an R rating in there this time.

I liked 4. Justin Long wasn't too bad (he plays a role that is almost always difficult to like, but he did a solid job). I also felt the scheme was a neat one (definitely some other flaws, but that was a nice thing).

New one needs an R rating, though. No question about that. Fuck people under 17 without understanding parents or fake IDs ;)

Speaking of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, I was pleasantly surprised by Shia LaBeouf's performance. I didn't care for him in his previous films (especially Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) but I thought he was very good in the Wall Street sequel.

I don't have a problem with him really either. Just so long as he isn't saying "No no no no no nonononononono!!!"

Not just DH:5 but DH:6 as well.
Willis-
"In the next few years they could easily find a replacement for me or call the character someone else," he told FHM. "But for me, I want to do 'Die Hard 5,' then one final 'Die Hard' movie - 'Die Hard 6' - before finally hanging that white vest up for good."

John McClane isn't the type of character for so many sequels. Die Hard was fine. Die Hard 2, yeah... that was already stretching it, but they played with the unbelievability of the same shit happening to the same guy twice. And in Die Hard 3, there was a personal relation between Simon Gruber and McClane, which was the sole reason why McClane was involved in the entire thing.

Any more Die Hard sequels would just be ridiculous. How many times is this guy supposed to just stumble over a terrorist incident? :wtf:

I'm surprised by the general praise for Die Hard 4. To me it's a series that mirrors Indy. Part 1 is awesome, Part 2 is decently disappointing but still watchable, Part 3 is pretty good, but not quite up the to the level of the original, and then Part 4 shows up way late and is a total mess...

I think the fourth one was alright, just as Indy four was alright but neither could have been a part of their respective series (ie; different actors/characters) and no one would have noticed the similarities.

Maybe Die Hard 5 and Indiana Jones 5 can bring back the spark of the originals but then end on a final note, even though Bruce Willis said he's wanting to end at 6.
