Britsh influence on Star Trek XI

1. The only Britons I can think of in the new film are Ben Cross as Sarek, Simon Pegg as Scotty, and the other Vulcan actors sans Zachary Quinto.

2. That's an incredibly bigoted way of describing the peoples of the United Kingdom -- who are not, by the way, a "race," and whose ethnicities include the English, Irish, Welsh, Scots, Cornish, Africans, Italians, Dutch, French, Greeks, Poles, Turks, Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans, Romnichal, Burmese, Chinese, Filipino, Koreans, Afro-Carribbeans, Kenyans, Ugandans, and dozens more.

And, 3. the OP is full of shit and he's only doing it to get a rise out of us.

--Gep, Caucasian.

Okay, you've got me there. I've nothing better to do at the moment...

BTW I'm doing this to get a rise out of you AND to make you cognisant of the fact that I really don't like you for being British. And there's lots of other people who don't like you for the same reason.

I may like you as a person... But that's different. And you lot have ruined Star Trek.

Plus your society is worthless in itself and getting more so as the years go by and the more intelligent leave for greener pastures.

^^Oh come on, how can you like somebody personally, but hate them for their nationality....i mean your not even making wacky messed up humorous sense now.

At least get some guts and choose one of the more specific regions...not just all of Britain!

I personally abhor and wish unrelenting pain on anyone from Castlemilk, Glasgow.

God save our gracious Queen!
Long live our noble Queen!
God save the Queen!
Send Her victorious!
Happy and glorious!
Long to reign o'er us!
God save the Queen!
O Lord, our God, arise,
Scatter Her enemies,
And make them fall!
Confound their politics!
Frustrate their knavish tricks!
On Thee our hopes we fix,
God save us all!
Thy choicest gifts in store,
On Her be pleased to pour!
Long may She reign!
May She defend our laws,
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice:
God save the Queen!

Deep down. Everyone is British.

And just to feed the troll. Wasn't TMP filmed in the UK, and Generations directed by and starred Britons?

Seems like a severe case Crown envy to me. So Sad.

Crafty and thoughtless?

If we really wanted to ruin star trek, we'd grant it independence That usually does the trick.

I am willing to bet that most of the most ardent supporters of Star Trek XI and the most ardent detractors of the old fan base on here are British.

Pip pip, apples and pears, have a cup of tea and calm down, old sport!

I would say that they are doing so because there are lots of their countrymen in the film, and because they are typical of their race. Unthoughtful and crafty. Typically thieving by nature their greatest hope is that they could get others to do their work for them rather than do it themselves.

You rotter!

And they would like to ruin the old star trek and promote a new one with their efforts.

You forget our evil plan to rebuild the Empire by making you all drink tea, eat stodgy food and wear bowler hats and carry umbrellas!

God I love this guy, can we have a few more trolls on the site if they post like this?

Add Engineer Olson to the list and I'd say you've got it.

Sci, you've really impressed me lately. I quite enjoy your posts.

But really? Wales? Isn't that something better kept on the DL? :shifty:

Yep. Star Trek Generations was directed by a Briton named David Carson and starred a Briton named Patrick Stewart. It also starred a Canadian named William Shatner -- a subject of Her Majesty Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, eh? -- and a Briton named Malcolm McDowell. :)

Thankee. I'm proud of my entire British heritage, though I self-identify as English more so than the others.

When the new Star Trek movie went into pre production, JJ was trying to find way in which he could make Trek more British (and thus spoil it for just about everyone... He is a Star Wars fan after all). This is just one of his ideas:

I'm British and I agree. That Olsen bloke almost ruined the whole story. Luckily though, he's hot, so that makes up for everything. :D

Oh my god, this is so funny, He hates me too! how fun. You are one of the funny racists, because you think people will get all angry over what you say when they wont. I am proud to be british!! I also have some welsh in me :P He is angry because he cant understand the film.
