I figured I'd put this up, I want to see which series the fans would really want back. No ''CATCH'' :vulcan: Some if not ''all'' cast members return, and as a BONUS YOU get to pick which writers you want on the show! Me personaly, I would bring back STAR TREK:ENTERPRISE, but I would call it ''ENTERPRISE:PHASE II'' ;) and I would tell what happend during the events between 2155-2161, it would be 5 seasons long! As well as finaly tell the story arcs of the ''could have been'' season 5. As far as writers go I would get Manny Coto back, and I would try to get J.Michael Strackzinsky (creator of BABYLON5) on bourd, as well as comic writers, Warren Ellis, Neil Gaimen, & Mark Miller.(you never know, they may just do some great eps) Well, what series would you want back!? and what whould you do?

Uh, I think you forgot a couple of series....

I would have voted for DS9 anyway though, it's the only Trek that feels as though there's more story left, aside from a leadup to a Romulan war in Enterprise.

In the "The catch is that the ship is destroyed in the end"-thread I said that I want to see Enterprise continue because they ended it too soon and because I want to see the Earth-Romulan war on screen, or, by the very least, the lead-up and the opening shots. And guess what, I'm saying that here too.

Enterprise. I would let every other show on TV I watch now (Dexter, TrueBlood, The Office, Heroes, Dollhouse, Family Guy, etc) be cancelled if only they'd bring Enterprise back.

Enterprise there were so many stories left to tell with these characters. And the leadup to the Earth/ romulan wars and the founding of the federation.

I've only seen three episodes of Enterprise and I hated one of them, but it's still the series I'd most want to see brought back based on those choices. I haven't seen all of DS9 yet, but from what I've heard, it tied up all of its loose ends nicely in its season finale, and so did Voyager. Okay, it sounds like DS9 does have this lingering thread of Sisko's fate, but I don't mind it being left as it is. Could be worse. I've only seen a few Voyager episodes and thought they were all either terrible or mediocre, so there's no way I'd want to see that brought back.

I absolutely ADORE "In A Mirror, Darkly", and I imagine that if Enterprise was brought back, there would be a lot of great stories like that one which are fresh and new, while also exciting as ways to further establish backstory for the previous Star Trek shows, making the show enjoyable both for fans of past Star Trek shows as well as the new series as a standalone. I've read all kinds of trivia about proposed fifth season ideas like the origin of Guinan and the Borg Queen being created from a female scientist (played by the actress who played the Queen) and they sound more fun and intriguing than anything I could see a resurrected DS9 or Voyager come up with.

The other series seemed to run out of steam as they were winding down, but Enterprise by all accounts (and if "In a Mirror, Darkly" exemplifies its pre-cancellation status) was just starting to turn itself around for the better when it got canned. It's a shame the series apparently took so long to find its footing, if it had been as good from the start as people say it was at the end, maybe it might even be more highly regarded today than Voyager was, rather than the black sheep of the Star Trek franchise.

Enterprise. Probably HBO style, or someplace away from Network television, where Executives have altogether too much say in the production. Case in point, Scott Bakula had a different hairstyle when filming for Broken Bow began. He wasn't allowed to cultivate his own look until Season 3, as TPTB insisted on the side parting and unnatural lack of nine o'clock shadow. Countless other restrictions more stopped the show doing anything in the way of a radical departure, from T'Pol's look to introducing the transporter too soon.

Not seeking to bash the show, as I really liked the characters and industrial look of the ship and sets. So no "catch" for me, would be to regress some of the advanced technology. For instance, have the Romulan War take place with the use of spatial torpedoes. Perhaps because the enemy have developed a means of remotely tapping into the photonic variety (through hull plating, inside the ship itself). Releasing the magnetic isolation field, resulting in many casualities from lethal gamma rays. Since that key disaster, Earth Starfleet vessels then had to develop a forcefield around the warp reactor and then as in reality, wartime brings further advances like the first protective shield metres outside the hull, surpassing the ability of polarized plating.

Really none of them are coming back, so we might as well include TOS with Emergency Acting Holograms subbing in.

Anyway, my pick is Enterprise - by far the most unused potential, after being cut down in its prime.

I'm liking that there have been no votes for Voy. I'd have liked them to carry on DS9 to see what state the Federation was in after the war and to watch them put everything back together again.

Stephen Colbert himself said that only God could like Star Trek:Voyager. ;)

And i voted for DS9. :D

We have such similar tastes.

DS9 does seem like the most logical series to restart, it was more popular than Voy or Ent and was recent enough that it wouldn't look too out of place.

I would go with TOS, totally CGI with FINAL FANTASY style animation with new 'voice' actors, but real science fiction writers too. And definatey on SHOWTIME/HBO so they could push the envelope...

Man, i'd love to see a new full season of DS9. The relaunch books are just great though. It could be the new 8th season. :D
