I don't know if this is the right area to post this or not so forgive me if it isn't, but I just noticed that the bringbackkirk.com has expired. Does anyone know if the movement has faded into the clouds of Saturn?

Kind of moot with the latest movie, isn't it? Kirk's alive and kicking in the new movie's timeline, and we're unlikely to ever see another movie in the original one.

^Moot to us; IIRC, they maintained that recasting Kirk in a reboot was unacceptable. They would only be satisfied if a septuagenarian Shatner managed to squeeze his porky self into a Starfleet uniform for an adventure set in the post-Nemesis time period.

Thankfully, this foolishness was ignored by the new people in charge.

But the new time line was an accident and the old Kirk was not in it so we don't know how long this young one will live. For those who love Kirk and think his death was distastefully done in Generations, it is not foolisness to bring him back.

He doesn't need to squeeze into a uniform, he'd look good enough in a suit and tie. And no, it wouldn't look silly. It'd be awesome.

No matter how much you believe in the TV shows and movies, reality says that Shatner is not the man he was in the 1980's.

As much as a 90 year old man wants to relive his glory world war 2 days when he participated in liberating Europe and was chasing young hot women, it just isn't going to happen.

Yes it is :lol:It has been 16 years since he played Kirk. And how would you have him die?
