(Brief) comment from Bana on role

... just thinking.,, this is not a 'cameo'. A cameo is much more simple, merely a brief appearance and often in the 'background'.

Someone needs to point these things out to the children... or they will never learn.

stop being so fussy, its just a post not a work of art

^Well there you go! You should treat every post as I treat mine. You take care of it, caress it, nurture it.

You're in love with it.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand before Mr or Mrs moderator comes in here and tells me to stop derailing the thread...

It's not a cameo, as Plum said. Cameos are brief, oft times amusing one off scenes. It's a struggle in my mind to imagine the main villain of any movie being billed as a cameo.

Finally, an image from the new movie!

What were we talking about again?

Oh right, the bad guy. It looks like the Romulans are getting short-changed again. Then again, according to caaaaaaaanon, they shouldn't be involved at all.

Ah yes. Berman touted Nemesis as having the Romulans as the adversary. Didn't *quite* turn out that way, did it?

Even if Bana's role is small, relatively speaking, it still doesn't preclude the involvement of other Romulans as antagonists.

that is one serious crash,if nero goes back in time,do u think he will have surgery to alter his appearance to fit in different time line?

You mean, he'll have his bumpy v-shaped forehead removed? One would hope so.

God. The production staff in the 90's were bloody obsessed with bumpy foreheads. I'm surprised they didn't give humans the odd bump here and there.

Ah mate,Thanks, how about some drinks @ spearmint rhino?
Or the medal of yavin, then I could get close to princess leia, seriously these forums are funny, thats all they should be,good spirits and descent info, not scholarship assesment boards, thanks for the medal and goodnite!

The only actors mentioned to have been cast as bad guys are Eric Bana as the Romulan Nero and the aforementioned Clifton Collins Jr. as the Romulan Ayel. So yeah, Romulans are finally the bad guys this time.

Christian Slater in Trek VI was a cameo. Bana will not be a "cameo" if he's in the credits, though he could be a smaller role than what some might expect. Of course, as I noted about Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross, "small" does not equal "unimportant".

Also true of Vincent Price in Edward Scissorhands. We could be here all day... ;)
