Bridge display graphcs creation

Hi All, I don't know if this is the best place for this thread, but here goes.

If you were to recreate some of the Star Trek movie era (TMP-ST VI) bridge graphics, how would you go about it? What software would you use, how would you animate it? I'm talking about the individual display screens, not an animation of the whole bridge. Ideally, the graphics would be scalable in both size and resolution (so it didn't get jaggies on a larger screen), and hopefully be fairly low overhead so it could be run on a lightweight system (perhaps a rasberry pi).

Any takers? Has anyone done any of these before that might be willing to share their techniques?

Adobe Illustrator for layout and Adobe AfterEffects for the animation, or maybe even Adobe Flash ?

Google okudagrams and LCARs. There's lots of stuff out there. It's a popular mod for android phones among others.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I don't currently have Corel Draw or Paint, but they're something to look into. I also fear I don't have the artistic talent, but that's another issue.

Admiral Reliant, those blue-green movie style graphics are exactly the style I had in mind. You did great work on those. BTW, were the helm and navigation consoles taken from screen shots, or did you use artistic license? The helm/nav consoles were two of the best parts of ST V. I don't know why they went retrograde for ST VI.

The helm and nav consoles are as accurate as possible, taken from a smaller version I found on-line but I had to enlarge it somewhat to make it work. The reason it was changed for VI was that Nic Meyer wanted real buttons and dials as he felt they halped the action move along more realistically and just running fingers over meaningless touch buttons. I personally prefer the touch helm as it is in keeping with the rest of the ship.
