News Brent Spiner Returned for "Picard" (and you could do the CGI better in 15 minutes, we get it)

These guys were playing these roles when I was six years old.

I'd have never believed that I'd still be watching them as I approach my 40th birthday... much less that they'd look as good they do or that the scenes would be as good as they are.

I don't see any differences XD

There are lots of small changes like darker eyes and lips, smoother skin, thinner cheeks, improved hair, removed zippers, corrected position of rank pips...

Someone tried to deepfake Data's face in Star Trek: Picard. The resullt is...well...strange. ;-)

Someone tried a deepfake of Data's entire head. It looks remarkable!

Going out on a limb here ..................., but I think that by the time the Picard series wraps up…………….Data’s story isn’t done yet.

*Even just a quick last scene flash. :-)

Q?

I'm currently working on the vineyard scene:

Now that's what I'm talking about, they could have done a better job, I expected a better more consistent job to be done, put this is better than what I expected to see on the show, and I doubt Millions went into that work, that makes the official version look even worse

Yeah...considering how great the Enterprise D and Ten Forward looked. They clearly had the budget. But they had other priorities.

I still can't believe how poorly Brent Spiner was made up in the first place. Why in the world did they put a hairpiece on him with that particular shape/hairline? Imagine the time, money, and effort it too to correct it digitally. That T/M/E could have been better spent on his actual face.

Yes, he didn't look quite right with Tuvok's hairline...

Because nothing shows respect for an actor like telling him he looks terrible as his signature character. Sorry folks, but Brent Spiner got older and nothing can change that short of spending more time and money on deepfakes than PIC obviously had.

I don't understand why they didn't tape his neck like they did for Paul Rubens in the most recent Pee Wee movie. Obviously Rubens still needed digital retouching, but the tape helped a lot.

I'm not completely sure what point you're trying to make. They put the wig and make-up on him for the role...what problem would putting a more accurate wig on him cause?
