considerably less obviousYeah, it was abvious in the trailer. But it was less obvious in the poker scene.

I have to agree, the Uniform's look a bit on the Cosplay side. at the end of the day, as a fan though, regardless of what doesn't look quite right, it is definitely a thrill to see Brent back in makeup as Data, and onscreen with Patrick/Picard.And the TNG and First Contact uniforms in Picard look a little bit like uniforms you see at conventions. They are not accurate and don't fit very well.
On the other hand I'm glad that they did not redesign them. The "visual canon" of TNG is still alive. Ten Forward looks great btw. they even used identical chairs.
Finally, a preview of the Ten Forward Data scene:
I like the faint audio from Blue Skies playing in the background. "Never saw the sun..."
But I don't like that Data looks like Steven Seagal at a Star Trek convention. All that digital tinkering and no one thought to slim down his neck a bit? The close-ups look good, but the hairline in the wide shots is very distracting.
They look accurate to me.They are not accurate and don't fit very well.
Accurate-ish. It seems to be made from a different material, which is maybe why it looks a little baggier. The material is less stiff. They look accurate to me.
I think it's more likely to help hide Brent's 70 year old neck, and if his neck isn't onscreen, they done have to worry about smoothing the skin on it, or turkey neck reduction,Now that I've seen it with better resolution, the only odd thing I noticed was that the collar is too high. Maybe it's cold in dream-10-fwd XD
Let's maybe not be too harsh about the First Contact style uniform here. After all:
