News Brent Spiner Returned for "Picard" (and you could do the CGI better in 15 minutes, we get it)

This last one strikes me as the best version. The first has pupils much too small; the second has overly aggressive smoothing; the third features some skin blemishes; the last one looks pretty natural.

It feels weird to be analyzing someone's face like this, but I find the technological artistry really interesting.

These are not high res images of course. So it might not look as smooth in full hd.

I just think the make-up and costume departments are not very familiar with the TNG era. Everything looks a bit sloppy. But it's still the original First Contact uniform.

yep, the collar should have a tighter fit. So should the uniform, which has way too many wrinkles. I literally dreamt of his uniform last night. My wife woke me up and asked me why i was asking for „Data‘s uniform“ in my sleep.

No further picard trailers for me b4 sleeping time!

I had the chance to see a high res version of this clip.

His skin looks good. Smooth, but with enough texture and some small wrinkles. His hairline is clearly a bit too low. But it looks much better than in the trailer. The weirdest think are the eyes. They used contact lenses with too small pupils. So they increased them digitally. But the pupil size seems to change during the entire scene.

Overall I'm glad to see Data back. But I'm also glad that he is not a main character. You can see that it was a challenge to make him look good.

I'm glad we finally get to see Data's dream scene with Picard. The cgi for Data looks good in these stills .Thanks for posting them.

This seems like the right balance. Doesn't look too old but still has detail.
Here's the thing, we know Data was downloaded into B4, is it possible this new Data wanted to looking different from his prior model? Restorations of a vehicle has it's own sense of uniqueness and doesn't have to look like the original. Does it?

He's not a new Data, he's part of Picard's dream sequences.

This isn’t the Data from the 2009 Countdown comic.

It is really just a dream sequence. It has nothing to do with B4 (who is still in the drawer).
