Breaking the Ice

^ I know! It's great isn't it? I also liked Brent Spiner in Night Court as well, he was hilarious too. Night Court was a good show.

Holy crap, your right! I DVR'd that episode last week, weird! Thanks for noticing, I always tell my wife "everyone's been in star trek!"

The episode aired last night even though I watched it night before on DVD and actually enjoyed it; like how guilty Trip felt about reading Tpols mail. And wow Night Court haven't watched that show in so long but good catch on that.

You can play the game the other way too, looking for ST actors and actresses in other shows and movies. My dad and I do that all the time!

I do that all the time, and I'm frighteningly good at it.

The guy who played the black Xindi (Mallora) is in a Levitra commercial, and in several commercials you can see the guy who was the head of the deuterium camp in "Marauders."

I'm rewatching The X-Files, and I recently saw the infamous episode "Home." That actor who played the Xindi Mallora, Tucker Smallwood, played Sheriff Taylor in that one.

I never knew it was Phil from Night Court. So both Dan Fielding and Phil have been in Star Trek. ;)

I liked Breaking the Ice. Really good early episode. It also seemed to be the last T'Pol/Trip episode until the third season.

I believe Nightcourt featured Trekkie-defendants in at least 1 or 2 eps.

They had 1 with the "old" Spock trekkies against the newer TNG Trekkies, I remember a black guy with a Geordi-visor. And his group actually beaming out of the courtroom.

I think there was another, unless it's the Brent Spiner stuff I'm thinking of.

You can see Tucker Smallwood in Chris Carter's Millennium as well, third season episode "Goodbye, Charlie". Glen Morgan and James Wrong, who produced a good part of Millennium, also produced Space: Above and Beyond, featuring Tucker Smallwood as Commodore Glen van Ross in fifteen episodes.

Tucker Smallwood has also been in the Sarah Silverman Show as God, twice. :) I think it's probably been his best role.

I thought Breaking the Ice was okay. My favorite part was the Vulcan snowman.

Good to know that he has made such an impression in Hollywood. :) He sure packed a wallop in that one-shot in X-Files. I am currently watching Millennium beginning to end for the first time, so I'll get to Tucker soon enough.

Back to "Breaking the Ice"...I really enjoyed it. A good look at the culture clash between humans and Vulcans, and seeing (or failing to see) value in the other culture's views. Plus some nice character development all around.
