Breaking In

Anybody see it? Good cast - I've been wanting to see Christian Slater and Bret Harrison in something - and I think I'll stick with it for now, but there's something too frantic about it. Maybe it's that the premise really isn't that solid - do we really care whether a company that tests other companies' security succeeds or fails? - so they compensate by tossing one zinger and crazy character at us after another, so we won't notice the hollowness at the core.

It reminds me of Chuck, but it doesn't have the same heart.

Slater didn't seem like a good fit, and the catch phrase he's shoving down our throats ("I'll allow it") is pretty lame. Other than that and trying to introduce everyone and everything in the very first episode, I didn't think it was bad at all.

If they slow down and try to take their time with it, it could be great. There's tons of possibilities with their company, too, and I can think of several complications that can come up to make it even more interesting.
