Just saw the Conan episode that was dedicated to Breaking Bad and it was great! It had the entire cast. I thought that Giancarlo Esposito should have been there but he wasn't.
Some highlights...
- Bob Odenkirk was a writer on Late Night with Conan O'Brien back in 1993 - 94.
- Jonathan Banks is just as scary and intimidating as his character Mike. I don't think he was acting when he played Mike.
- Los Cuates de Sinaloa played their song "Negro Y Azul (The Ballad of Heisenberg)".

Did anyone else notice that when Walt was finally in New Hampshire, outside of his empire and on the run, that he was suddenly back to wearing his "emasculating" light green shirt and underwear (albeit longjohns) a la the pilot? Maybe just a subtle point that he's out of his element and also contributing to his obvious depressed state over how things had finally turned out?
Blue rock candy in little ziplock bags. It's either a really good or a really bad idea.
The cast members were actually throwing those out to the audience members on Conan while the closing song was playing.
I doubt there'll be a show that does what Breaking Bad does as well as it does for some time but there are other shows which are just as good/interesting but in different ways.
Better Call Saul I don't think he will have a lot to do with.
But as he claimed it's a team that made Breaking Bad wonderful. He never thought the show would last past 2-3 seasons, but it grew.
And I think it's funny that Sony was shopping the 5th season of the show around as AMC was being cheap with their episode count because the show had less than 3 million viewers at the end of season 4. Tonight's episode will probably be around 7 million.

My understanding is that Gilligan will not be too attached to the CBS show after the pilot and Shore will be showrunner. That's the better option as it allows Gilligan to work elsewhere which would definitely be for the best. CBS would not let him work his magic.
Isn't anyone else absolutely flabbergasted at how completely different Michael Bowen looks as Uncle Jack from back in the Day when he was playing "PussyWagon Buck" In Kill Bill, or even 6 years ago while he was on LOST?

Walt goes back N.M. to kill the NAZIs. He is making some of the rock explosive from season 1, but this time he is using uranium. While making it the screen turns white.
We zoom out to see a mushroom cloud over the city. Jesse and the NAZIs are out of town on some hills and sees it. Jesse stares and goes "Damn bitch!"
And the show ends.
This will probably be the first episode I have ever watched live.
