I like the smell and taste of coffee..

Fresh ground quality coffee smells like something heavenly. It's too bad it never tastes as good as that... although it can taste delicious. I find the caffeine buzz from coffee has an "edge" to it that I just don't like, so no more than one cup a day if that. On the other hand, the caffeine lift I get from black tea has no edge. I can drink a lot of it too, with no jitters, and yet feel wide awake.

Recently I've acquired a taste for semi-bitter chocolate. This one in particular from Trader Joe's is delightful:

Fresh coffee is awesome. There is a trader in town that roasts beans and makes that half of the city smell of coffee deliciousness. They also have speciality beans and let you smell before you buy.

Peanut butter on anything toasted. Bagels and english muffins are absolutely delightful toasted with peanut butter.

Have you tried it? I have to say, at first bite I was like "Whut? Where's the sweetness I normally get with chocolate?" But then... ah, the taste buds acclimated. Without the usual sugar load, you really start to get acquainted with the cacao in it's more natural state. And it's delightful. I really hope TJ's makes this a staple in their offerings... absolutely can't stand it when they discontinue stuff that I love.

Ah, sorry. I'd just read his really wacko threat post on being able to track somebody down and make their life miserable in person--serious stalker sh*t--and couldn't help but react to that. But I'll refrain from any further commentary.

I actually like to snack on raw, unsweetened cacao nibs. It satisfies my cravings for chocolate nicely, as I generally avoid sugary foods and drinks.
