BRAVE/BOLD classic!!!

That's different. Dumbledore was pretty assiduous about keeping Harry safe (insofar as anyone at Hogwarts is safe) until he was old enough to take care of himself. It's one thing when it's a 14- or 15-year-old; I can suspend disbelief enough to accept that. But these kids in the teaser came off like they were still in single digits, maybe 9 or even 8, and that was just taking it too far for my tastes. If they'd been played by older actors, if their voices had sounded more adolescent, I could've lived with it, but they sounded like they were really, really young and that was just disturbing.
Its a a cartoon/comic book. I just can't get worked up over it. I get more worked over the aging and darkening of Bucky in the current Captain America. Overthinking of the comicbook reality leaves me cold.

Who said anything about overthinking? I'm talking about my feeling in response to being shown a bunch of supposedly responsible adults encouraging several very young boys to dress up like them and risk their lives fighting adult criminals. If I think about it, I can understand the historical origins of that kind of storytelling and the intended homage and the fantasy of it all. But my gut feeling, my immediate visceral response, at hearing those very, very young voices from the sidekicks in that sequence was one of discomfort.

(interestingly, same deal with Wonder Woman; could this have to do with some "embargo" thing?)
With Superman, from what I understand, it's just that the writers haven't wanted to do a Superman/Batman teamup in favour of using more obscure characters (same with the rest of the original JLA apart from Aquaman, who wasn't on JLU as a regular). One imagines they'll get to him eventually anyway.

Which is fine with me..I'd rather see the 'less used' heroes rather than Supes...

Who knows, maybe after B/B runs its course they'll do DC COMICS PRESENTS with Superman as the STAR teaming up with lesser heroes..

I don't known chris. I think it was it was done in good taste, and more as a wink of an eye to us old farts and 'the old day's more than anything else.

For me, it was one of the best episodes yet...

To me this is over thinking:
supposedly responsible adults encouraging several very young boys to dress up like them and risk their lives fighting adult criminals

^And sometimes you just don't like something in a story, period. Nobody has to like every moment of every episode. So I don't "have to" do a damn thing, thank you very much.

I think the next animated series should be Green Lantern.

I bet that is a good idea...with the movie coming up soon. Good time to build up a bigger fan base..

I agree with a GL series. There's so much to the mythos and so many characters, and the very nature of the Corps allows for a strong series format. I could see it being somewhat similar to the SW: Clone Wars series, hopping planet to planet, that is.
