Its a a cartoon/comic book. I just can't get worked up over it. I get more worked over the aging and darkening of Bucky in the current Captain America. Overthinking of the comicbook reality leaves me cold.
Who said anything about overthinking? I'm talking about my
feeling in response to being shown a bunch of supposedly responsible adults encouraging several very young boys to dress up like them and risk their lives fighting adult criminals. If I think about it, I can understand the historical origins of that kind of storytelling and the intended homage and the fantasy of it all. But my gut feeling, my immediate visceral response, at hearing those very, very young voices from the sidekicks in that sequence was one of discomfort.
