Brannon Braga on a possible Season 5 through Netflix + More...

I'd be down with an Enterprise... Netflix... thing... that jumps forward to the Earth-Romulan War and the founding of the Federation. Well, maybe not an ENT thing, but an Earth-Romulan War thing, with the NX-01 appearing. Maybe a Wire approach.

Just keep Berman and Braga as far away from it as humanly possible.

I'd rather see a brand-new Trek series though. Enterprise... does anyone really care that much?

Hilariously, not only has that not happened, but the last movie did the exact opposite. Sucks to be you:)

Not really as the last Trek film did not erase anything. It merely created a parallel timeline. The original still exists and can be revisited anytime. So, "YEAH ME!"

Come on. It was the finale, but it was set 7 years in the future of the Season 4 events of Enterprise, and the Earth-Romulan war happened in that 7 years. So Trip could well be there. And yes, I would care for an Earth-Romulan war if it is done right.

Don't hold your breath for that. Prime-verse Trek continues only in the novels. In film and TV, it's done.

Not sure how any Star Trek would stay exclusive to Netflix myself. I mean, there must be plenty of old farts like me, who like shelves full of DVD and Blu ray box-sets! I suppose that's going the way of album sleeves with gatefold artwork. Pity. Half the appreciation I have for collecting is having a physical product that sits in a bookcase, instead of on a hard drive which might end up deleted or irretreivably lost when it crashes.

Ultimately Braga's probably self publicising here and it's not likely, because it's not JJ Abrams Trek, but I'd like to see a better ending for Enterprise than we got, however long the story they might be able to get made.

Best thing to do, would be to get an actor from one of the other Star Treks to guest-star or make an appearance in it. As long as it doesn’t involve the holodeck… and a reunion of Scott Bakula, Connor Trinneer, Jolene Blalock and the rest of the cast is what the central story is about. Don't turn it into another Mr & Mrs Troi show. :p

Invite Michael Dorn onboard to play Worf's great grandfather (without ridges, in a helmet). That worked for Star Trek VI. Have Brent Spiner show up as Arik Soong. Flash backwards and forwards between the 22nd & 23rd Centuries, to show Archer really ancient alongside Zachary Quinto or Simon Pegg or something. That way it's got more crossover appeal than just Enterprise.

Perhaps reveal Leonard Nimoy Spock as Future Guy... or Archer gone bad.

Or else, maybe William Shatner could lower his asking price for that Season 4 story idea they had, revealing him to have been the NX-01's Chef or Mirror Universe counterpart on a rampage, trying to get back home.

Must be loads of ideas, that allow it to be Enterprise-centric but also blow kisses to the legacy. Boil it down and that's probably why Season 4 has the largest number of rewatchable episodes.

Somebody should take this petition to the official Star Trek facebook page, it has almost 2.176.000 likes, so a potential HUGE number of people seeing the petition, and ask the admins to share the petition link with a comment like:
In a recent interview Brannon Braga said it might be possible to bring back Enterprise on Netflix. What can you do?
1: Watch Star Trek Enterprise on Netflix. Netflix will see that the show is popular
2: Sign this petition:
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/855/733/216/resurrect-star-trek-enterprise/

The petition will be sent to Netflix when it has enough signers.
You can also write to Netflix at:

Thank you

There's no MESSAGE button on the official Star Trek page so you can't message the admins directly. I posted the petition on their wall but it was promptly taken down. The Enterprise page has left it up so far though. Any other ideas?

I'd love to see that. Let's just ignore TATV and get a real closing to Enterprise. Hoshi and Mayweather should get promotions above ensign. I mean come on. Save the world from the Xindi and Romulans and 10 years they are both still ensign nobodys??? Only Harry Kim deserves that amount of disrespect. Bring back Captain Hernandez and Columbia also! And Lt. Stiles' ancestor who fought in the war.

Not to rain on everyone's parade here, but...

Even if this had a chance of happening (which, realistically, it doesn't, no matter how much wishful thinking Braga has), why would any of the original cast want to reprise their roles? These actors have gone on with their lives and put Enterprise behind them, even if several fans haven't done the same.

If someone was going to resurrect one of the previous Star Trek series, I'd prefer they resurrected TOS, not Enterprise. And judging by how popular Abrams's movies are, that seems more like a realistic possibility.

How would that work? Two of the actors from TOS have already died.

And yet they found someone to play them in the new movies. It's called recasting.

The operative word here is resurrect, remember? ;)

The one problem I can see here is ... I don't think I can watch Netflix in Germany, isn't that only available in the US? But hey, I'm sure those episodes would surface *elsewhere* sooner or later ... :D

Starting a petition is silly. Braga's point is that, if enough people watch Enterprise on Netflix, Netflix may be interested in producing more episodes.

As for Braga's Netflix pipe dream: the real hurdle would be CBS. It's not $JJTrek and they outright own Star Trek's license.

There was a website dedicated to getting a fan funded season 5 from Paramount/CBS in the spring/summer of 2005, shortly after Enterprise was cancelled. I think three astronauts even contributed a million to the cause. It was even picked up by some news agencies at the time. The donations were returned after CBS told the fans the Enterprise story was over and that "Star Trek was tired and it needed to go lie down for a while," or something like that.

Some argued (validly) with all the suffering and need in the world, that people would spend so much of their money on a television series... and counter-arguements demanded that people had a right to spend money how they wanted. That topic became it's own debate. But this all took place over several months.

During all of this the Trek fans who hated Enterprise (and there were many) were in a the middle of a gigantic trollquake (on these internets). That was a Trek fan base divided, much worse than during the 4 year run of the series. Some of the actors expressed their humble thanks for the effort by the fans when the dust settled and the years to come. This seems like it happened 100 years ago.

It was a grueling time to be an Enterprise fan and I find it disturbing that Braga would actually give any fans of the series false hope in this regard. The only thing this story is missing is an illustration of Braga in a graveyard and taking a big, festering, steaming dump over the grave of Enterprise and laughing at some fans standing nearby crying.

Braga is deluding himself.

ENT was never that popular when it was on or will ever become that popular in the future.
