I heard that the highly contentious Brannon Braga has become a co-producer on the bombastic, overwritten 24 alongside Manny Cotto (who has been on the show considerably longer).
I always thought 24 was a not especially good show to begin with anyway and I wonder how well the show is faring under somebody who has done such crap like "Genesis" and "Threshold" (but of course his better stuff like "Parallels", "Frame of Mind", and most scripts with Moore or Menosky, get brushed under the carpet).
While he is partially responsible for the creative ennui that had troubled much of Voyager and Enterprise I've heard from some fans that Day 7 of 24 is actually OK (in the context of a show that is so overwhelmingly pofaced despite its relentless silliness, not unlike CSI: Miami).
