Bradley Cooper: Superhero.

The more I see of Bradley Cooper in movies the bigger fan of his I become, he's one of those rare few actors whom I find charming and talented. And I'm man enough and secure enough in my sexuality (straight) to say that if given the opportunity I totally would.

But when I begin liking an actor the geek in me always asks the same question: What superhero would he be best fit to play?

So what superhero do you think Bradley Cooper would be fit to play? With Coops here part of me is thinking Deadpool from X-Men fame (yeah, Ryan Reynolds has him.) Maybe Daredevil?

I'm more of a DC than a Marvel, but I can't think of a good DC hero that'd fit (considering there's really only two good DC superheroes neither of whom really "fit" for Brads.)

Ooo! How about Aquaman?!

I think he'd make a decent Flash. I also liked the idea of him as Green Lantern, back when he was still in the running, before WB went with Ryan Reynolds.

he could be a good Daredevil, but he'd also make a cool Cyclops.

ooo, what about Marvel's Wonderman, the Hollywood action star superhero?

If he played Flash, I'd see him as more of a grown-up Wally West than a Barry Allen. He has a devilish grin that would not suit Barry at all.

The modern personality of Aquaman for the last 2 decades has been mostly that of Doctor House. He hates, HATES dealing with he surfaceworld. Aquaman's pissed at every one about everything, and this started before Paranas ate one of his hands and his adopted son knocked up his girlfriend...

Gosh, the first time I saw Alias I thought Bradley was gawky comic relief.

But his original incarnation, Aquaman BSF (before Superfriends), was no panty waist either. He was DC's less pissed-off version of Marvel's Sub-Mariner. He had super-strength, superspeed underwater and was generally bad-ass in or out of his element.

Then came the Superfriends.

The Aquaman you talk about has had to fight decades to get his rep back. It's not actually a new thing.

Me too, but after seeing him on Nip/Tuck and Kitchen confidential, I completely suppressed those Alias memories...

But Alias was shit anyway, so who cares...

Dr Strange

This is my choice. With black hair and a mustache, he'd be perfect. He has that impish quality that the character needs - he's a bit of a smart-ass, isn't he? - but it's distinct from Robert Downey Jr's impish quality, which will help the two characters not overlap. I've always thought Tony Stark and Stephen Strange were a little too similar in persona and looks.

Adam Warlock
That's Jim Caveziel

Granted.

:(

I'm thinking Moon Knight.

Althought they'd probably screw it up just like they did with Spider-Man or Judge Dredd by taking his mask off every 12 seconds.

I'm another who'd like to see him as Barry Allen in "Flash". I like the Adam Warlock suggestion. Don't see him as Scott Summers, okay maybe a little. I could see him as an excellent Booster Gold or even Ted Kord Blue Beetle. I agree though that he needs to do a superhero flick.
