The BOP bridge in Star Trek IV was a totally different set from Star Trek III. I don't think anything was reused from Trek III. BTW, a few of the consoles (particularly the pilots' console) did have backlit graphic screens with "English translations," but I'm pretty sure that none of that was ever visible on camera.

Wasn't it just a case of artistic license? There'd be no good reason to completely redo the bridge of a captured enemy vessel just to fly it back to Earth.

Especially since they seem to have re-done it with alternate Klingon hardware.
