Body of Proof offical discussion and comments :

Hendricks is good looking sure, but most people all drool over because it's more: "OMG! Big boobs!!!!  "

Sorry, I don't find her great looking. She's a 7 at best.

I liked the unusual amount of genre babes in this week's ep -
Jeri Ryan of course, Carolyn McCormick (TNG's Holographic babe Minuette), and Hendricks. And Dana, if you want to count her as the voice of Lois Lane.

Oh, of course I do. Delany was just about the best Lois Lane ever. She was also Andrea Beaumont in Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.

Glad to see others are warming to this show as well.

I'm hoping that John Carroll Lynch is coming back to the show after missing the last two episodes. I was really digging the dynamic between his character and Delany's.

Also, I'm kind of hoping to see some sort of relationship develop between the two of them. Not necessarily romantic but a bond almost as strong.

And she did an episode of Battlestar.

Same here. Great bod, butterface.

Honestly, I don't find her body all that great.

Her face and stuff is okay, I mean she's cute enough and certainly "good looking" but I think most people (men) only drool over her for two reasons.

And, me, I need more than giant boobs on a chick to lust after her the breasts need to be in proportion to her body and look good and, for my tastes, Ms. Hendricks doesn't meet that criteria.

I actually sort of like this show as it's a bit different take on the procedural crime drama and I like Dana Delany a lot (she could teach Ms. Hendricks a thing or two) if there's one complaint, and this was most evident in this last episode, I don't like the Jew-fro guy or Broad Black Stereotype Guy.

Jew-fro was okay and I think the "building chemistry" between him and Hendricks' character worked nice (considering the two are married in real life it must've taken some effort for the two to show this early relationship uneasiness) and he's not as bad as BBSG who I found just plain annoying. Isn't he supposed to be a doctor? Or at least a scientist? Why is it then he's acting like an idiot and about three steps away from talking jive? The antics of those two seemed out of place with the more "hard core" stuff going on with Delany and her storyline (which I think I missing some back story on. )

I get that, apparently, her pins and needles caused her to lose a patient on the operating table which she settled out of court on and, for some reason, gave up her career over (it couldn't have been her first and only lost patient) and she began this field as a ME in forensics but it seemed like there was some backs-story between her and the jackass surgeon guy.

And on the surgical staple gun thing, did the surgical chief dick with all three that came in the pack? How did it damage the surgeries of all three patients? That stuff I was foggy on too.

Jeri Ryan I like okay and I find her "pretty enough" all and all when she's dressed like a woman, she didn't impress me at looks-wise when in the latex silver jumpsuit with her hair tied up like that. She was better looking in the clothen jumpsuit and the few times her hair was down. But overall Jeri Ryan I find sort of pretty and like her okay in this show.

Anyway, good show and will likely keep watching it.

Hendricks' "innocent act" which then became "bad girl act" on Firefly has gotten her a ton of mileage on TrekBBS. If the role had been played by, say, Holly Marie Combs instead, she would be the one with the instant-lust following. Not that I'm saying Christina Hendricks is bad-looking, it's just that Firefly cred is like a boost of steroids on this board.

True enough, but I found Yosaffbridge's look better when she was in the prostitute garb at the end of her first episode than in any of her other appearances where the "Butterface Effect" was much stronger and, well, her whole body with two notable exceptions just looked scrawny.

I've never found her great looking even when considering her brief appearances on Firefly. Give me Jewel Staite, Summer Glau or Morena Baccarin any day. (Gina Torres I could go either way on.)

I'm really liking the show. Still, I have one major problem with it that I see in many of these types of shows.

In order to make Megan seem like a genius, they dumb down the other characters. Especially the Medical Investigator. Seriously, how would he not know what promethazine is used for?

It's like some of the poorer adaptaions of Sherlock Holmes. In order to make Holmes seem more incredible, they dumb down Watson instead of coming up with better ways to use the character.

That's not about making Megan seem like a genius, it's about providing a vehicle for exposition to the audience. You see it on CSI all the time -- one character explaining a basic principle of their work to another even though they both should understand it already, because it's the only way to explain it to the viewers. It's the old "As you know, Bob" trope.

Besides, Peter is actually a medicolegal death investigator, which isn't the same as a medical investigator. It's a position that focuses more on the investigative and legal side of a forensic case than the medical side, and it's not a "doctors-only" kind of thing. Peter is a former cop who seems to be fairly new in his job, so he's a logical choice for the "audience surrogate who needs things explained to him" role.

new episode tonight magazine editor dies in pool "society hill" and heah look who's back. some one had a vacation maybe. good to see him back.

^But they brought in a guest character (the Asian woman) to fill the role of the detective partner for the duration. Probably both actors have had other commitments.

Weird that they cast Joanna Cassidy as Dana Delany's mother. They're less than 11 years apart in age. Maybe Cassidy was supposed to be her stepmother, her father's young trophy wife or something, but it didn't seem that way. Is Megan supposed to be significantly younger than Delany?

...or Joanna is taking one for the team and playing older . I thought it was pretty good casting, actually.

As much as I like Dana Delaney this show has lost me--I just have had my fill of procedurals and the killers are never interesting in terms of fooling us or pulling a nice twist.

Can't really argue with that. I like the show, but I pointed out to my wife that we should try to find a show that isn't a cop/medical procedural. We watch Castle, House, Bones, two of the CSIs and Fringe. Fringe being the most "not a procedural" of the bunch. Maybe we need to try more sitcoms.
