Body of Proof offical discussion and comments :

Ugh. The dialog was terrible and Dana's character just came off as a holier than thou bitch that someone needed to fire.

Nothing groundbreaking, but I mostly enjoyed it and will watch next week too. I agree some of the dialogue was pretty hokey, but Delany sold it for me. She plays smug very well while hinting that the character is actually vulnerable and insecure just with a fortress of emotional walls all around her. Plus, man, she looks good for 55. The AVClub reviewer noted that she's only 4 years younger than Angela Lansbury was when Murder She Wrote began. Insane.

I liked seeing Jeri Ryan and hope she gets more screen time, and I liked Delany's partner, too. They have decent chemistry together. Not sold on the rest of the supporting cast yet.

If the script quality can improve and the cases of the week stay interesting, it could be a decent show.

ABC + 10pm + Debut late into the season

Surley it can't end well

It's worth noting that the reason this didn't debut last fall isn't because of concerns about this show, but rather that the lineup scheduled around it (on Friday nights) wasn't working. And they didn't want to debut this show around that mess so the debut got pushed until they cleared up a better timeslot.

Dana Delaney is always fun to watch (for her acting as well as her beauty) but the writing was pretty sketchy on this one. I'll give all the clunky exposition a pass because it was the pilot but I'm not likely to watch more than another couple of weeks unless it picks up. I gave Chicago Code three weeks before I gave it up as a bad job and I'll give thsi the same chance.

Not too impressed. It's trying too hard to be a House knockoff, like half the other shows on TV these days. The dial is already cluttered with shows about brilliant, abrasive mystery-solvers with screwed-up lives and no social skills -- did we really need another? Beyond that, they even had Megan get her epiphany through some random comment somebody made, just like House (and probably most of the other "genius" shows on TV) -- and they made the connection very blatant when they had Megan diagnose that guy as having lupus. No way that was anything but an intentional nod and wink toward House.

Well you beat me to it. I hadn't intended to watch this last night but for some reason I turned it on (Maybe because I think even at her age, DD is still hot. ???) But anyway as I was watching I had this nagging feeling that I'd seen this all before. The obvious comparison to Quincy ME popped into my head, but near the end of the episode it hit me.

This is just House with a female lead and as a ME instead of a diagnostician. (sp?).

I didn't think it was altogether too bad, though as others have said it is derivative. The main issue with shows like this is that they generally cater to the same demographic who will watch them, and make the studio/channel money. Stuff that is too cerebral gets dumped and stuff that's too dumb gets moved to a timeslot so it can cater to a different demographic.

I stopped watching House about two years ago because it started to bore me, same with Bones. I'll watch this until it starts to bore me.

I am looking forward to this new show and jeri ryan is back on television . I've set this show to my DVR . So is anyone going to check it out?

:eek::wtf::eek::wtf::eek:

I'm also happy to see Jeri back on TV and hope she gets more screen time since I'm not a big fan of Dana.

They almost lost me when I saw the ME arriving at a crime scene in 4-inch patent leather high heels and a mini skirt.

Interesting outcome and how they got there.

I'll give it a little more time, but ...

Of course Megan Hunt doesn't have a life. Non-cops who do all the cop work as well as their own regular jobs never have a life!

If this had been on CBS, after pilot ratings like that they already would've announced Body of Proof: Chicago starring Emilie de Ravin in the fall of 2011.

Sigh. Another procedural. Dana Delaney and Jeri Ryan are the only reasons to watch. Hard to believe that Delaney is in her 50s. But then who really knows how much work she's had done. Celebs, if they admit to having any done, always downplay it.

She admits to having some stuff done like using botox but she says she regrets at least doing that.

The women that really shock me not looking their age are Deidre Hall, Susan Lucci, Raquel Welch, and Betty White who does look older but not nearly 90.

Yeah, Raquel Welch's beauty had (has?) amazing longevity. I guess when you've got that much concentrated hotness, it takes a very long time to cool.

So did they take DNA from Simon Baker and Eric Dane to create the male lead on this show?

A friend of mine will be 31 in a couple months and might finally look like he's 20. He asked me at what age will I start to suspect something is up. Some people just take care of themselves.

that's cool love netflix . new episode tonight title "letting go" and then tuesday another new episode "helping hand" . finaly a show I can watch on tuesday's .

Anyone else find it strange that they have such big windows overlooking other buildings in the autopsy room?
