I'd say twenty years is way beyond "too soon". If you feel otherwise, then I honestly apologize. The Sombrero phenomenon is harmless fun celebrating Roddenberry's creation. I'd hope he would have smiled at his inclusion in that fun.

I don't feel it's too soon, I was just wondering as why it wasn't done sooner in the thread as well, it took quite a while to reach the point we got to put Gene in one.
I found it rather odd & thought it was out of respect that one hadn't been done before, that's all.
Granted, Gene had a terrific scene of humor & would of loved this crazy thread.
