Blue Warp Nacelles?

^ Yeah, I've run across his name before -- dancer from Florida and before that from Houston, Texas. I thought he might also have been on one of the "dancing with the stars" or "ballroom dancing"-type shows, but I may be wrong about that. There are quite a number of video clips of him out there, either dance instruction/demo or clips from ballroom-dance competitions. Seems Mario, Sr. was also a professional dancer.

A Google image search for Robau provides more TrekBBS goodness - my Robau comicbook cover is up there. And when I followed the link, it lead to a forum conversation about avies where someone mentions baldness for some reason, and uses a couple of Robau pics (mine being one of them) as examples. And they didn't even rehost the picture - they linked directly to my image hosting account!
Isn't the internet wonderful? :D The other image (Robau on the viewscreen) posted along with your comic cover was also created by someone here for one of the pre-movie release caption contests, and I recognized several others in the search results that I know were made by TBBS folks.

That one caught my eye, too. Nicely stylized.

Two TrekBBS results in the top 5... Nice.

No introduction necessary:

So Epic...

Even Tolstoy novels bow to this shit.

Make it so!

I think JJ Abrams and Orci and Kurtzman need to write in a character wearing a Sombrero and someone else referencing Robau simply because WE DEMANDED IT!

Lieutenant Hernandez...the great-grandson of Captain Erika Hernandez from ENTERPRISE! And he keeps a traditional sombrero in his quarters and loves Starfleet history, so he makes constant references to Robau!

:techman:

It came to me in a vision from the Great Robau himself.

^Should he be a Kelvin survivor, or just love Robau from instinct/learning about the awesome?

Hernandez can be a fan of the Mighty Bald One from his days in school and the Academy...he wouldn't be old enough to have been on the Kelvin itself.

It's okay.

We'll just have an angry Romulan change history so you WILL have remembered that fact.

This is the BWN thread. Anything goes. :p The only thing that can be "shoehorned" into it would be actual mentioning *of* blue warp nacelles.

Except that, and I'm quite sure I spoke to you about it before in this very thread. :p

Which does happen with just enough frequency that it's still amusing. :) The same cannot be said for the other things. You overdid them then; you live with that now. Give those things a rest, as far as this forum is concerned.

With rare exception we ALL have lives outside of Trek. If baseball has been banned, it would logically follow that ALL non-trek references are also banned: music not played on a Trek series, sports not played onscreen, everything must go. It will make for a very boring thread, but rules are rules... or is that an actual TrekBBS rule?
