Can we get just a grab of that mosaic of sombrero avatars?
Mine is the stylish purple Spock at top row center! It has been so long that I do not even remember who made it for me. We love to have fun here and there are always those willing to help people like me who have NO photoshop skills.

If anyone still has that Spock avatar saved somewhere, PLEASE send it to me. I lost it when my computer was stolen in a burglary. I would love to have it again.:vulcan:

^^ I'm still trying to figure out how to save the entire sequence. When i hit save, all i get saved on my computer is the one gif...not the moving sequence. I hate being computer retarded.

OMFG!

I never saw ANY of those before!!!!!!! I was talking about the one with Riker yelling "REPORT" and the crash of the Enterprise.
Oh, yeah -- this one (again AdmiralGarak):

Crash.gif

These are AWESOME!!!! I am going to attempt to save these (when i tried to save the Riker one last time you posted it for me M, all i got was the picture of the crashed Enterprise with the XXs on it's googly eyes).

** Edit: i am attempting to save them but all i get is one gif, not the whole thing. wtf?
When you go to save them, what steps do you take?

^ You are a saint M.

Ok, i right click on the picture and go to 'save picture as' and then put it in a file. All i get is the one picture. Am i missin a step?

And what are these things called? Are they considered animated gifs? (ok, lets hear a collective DUH)

They are indeed animated .gifs, and I don't see a missing step. I've tried it here (also using Vista Home Premium - right-click, Save Image As...) and I get the animated image saved in my Pictures folder (somewhat irritatingly, trying to open it in the folder causes an IE window to launch, but that's a separate issue.) I also tried uploading it from my computer into Photobucket and it stays animated through that, as well.

Many times the default program to view GIF files is Internet Exploder. Randi, you might try right clicking on your saved files, choosing the option "open with" and choose internet explorer or another browser, the animations should show just fine in a browser (just like they do here).

Yeah. If the GIF is opening in a picture viewer or similar software, it might not play the other frames. That's how it works on Macs, at least.

I made it (ETA: at least I added the purple sombrero, I think the purple shirt Spock was part of another photoshop thread running at that time) and searched a bit through my photobucket account, and here it is:

Yeoman Randi needs to post one of her real pics of herself so we can put sexy sombreros on her noggin.

God bless you, Defcon! I have really missed it. Once you said it, I remembered that I fell in love with the purple Spock and then someone [you!!] put the sombrero on him for me. Purple, sapphire blue and teal are my favorite colors!!!:techman:

I use FastStone Viewer and whenever I open a .gif file I can see it in motion. It is free software (I get much of my software from www.filehippo.com
