I don't know. When you come down to it, warp drive is just your basic FTL propulsion. In plot terms there's no big difference between warp and, say, hyperdrive in Star Wars, just a new effect. Either way the effect will be new, and I guess it'll be interesting the extent to which it does or does not resemble past efforts. But I'd doubt there would be any earth shattering differences, personally...Maybe they'll have some completely different way of portraying warp drive.
And I think that would be marv-Ah-lous (in my best Billy Crystal). I'm really excited to see a fresh and different take on the Trek-verse.
