Nah when the Narada wtfpwn'ed the Kelvaro, Starfleet realized that PEZ cannons do not make for a good offensive weapon. During the design of the new Sombrero-Constitution Class they found that PEZ is better used for propulsion, thus the Nu-Sombrero is now fueled by PEZ. She can go Warp 10 on the TNG Scale.
That and the fact that niether Pine or Shatner contract wern't high enough.
