Ahhh, ok then.LOL, that's fair. The cap is my simple solution to having a cover that would seal flush with the dome and also have a consistent transparent blend. I did try an umbrella-like cover on the end of the spike but couldn't animate it very well enough to make it work. One day I might revisit the cap
Honestly, I'm not sure you really need a moving cover at all, I think it would probably look fine if it just magically pushed out of the dome as some display of future tech, but maybe you tried that and it looked odd.
