Bleach - Anime Disscussion (Spoilers)

My husband didn`t like it but I enjoy this kind of music. I also like these language quirks in Bleach, the Spanish music and descriptions for more or less everything Arrancar and the German ones for everything Quincy and also the Bount.

A 4th soundtrack just came out in Japan but I haven`t got it yet.

From 253 it looks like Kouga is down for the count or at least temporarily. It was good to see Ishida, Chad, and Orihime get some more screen time and action in this one. Muramasa seems to have become something reminiscent of the old movie monster, the blob, and is spawning a bunch of generic hollows and menos grande.

It seems somebody in Soul Society has managed to heal the broken zampakuto as well.

It looks that way. 254 drags like a dead body though, I agree. Man it was annoying. I love (read as hate) how the menos just stop and conveniently wander around, waiting for them to finish their conversations before they attempt to annihilate them with cero.:rolleyes:

I don't know, I was a fan of Bleach until they started randomly throwing ideas at the wall and hoping they stick in the middle of season 2. It seemed to me that they were just making up random ideas and explaining as little as possible about what they actually mean. Also, it's kind of hard to take it seriously if Renji Freakyhair spurts all his blood all over the place when I know about 4 episodes later he's going to be perfectly fine... again. I'm more of a fan of more serious animes like Hellsing, Elfen Lied, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni. Also I think Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-Chan is funny even without an English dub.

There's better anime, yeah, and it's not going to win any awards. (I could seriously name at least 100) Doesn't mean Bleach isn't entertaining enough to kill a half hour though. There is far FAR worse anime out there.

Well, I enjoyed episode 254 but when I looked at the poll in Bleach Asylum I could see that the fandom is split right down the middle. I found that interesting because I haven`t seen that often.

I hope the last episode of this season will give it a memorable ending. I enjoyed the past battle in Ichigo`s soul space very much and I hope this will be as good, maybe even better. After the Shinigami had their battle I think it is time to allow Ishida, Chad and Orihime the same.

I also watch Bleach for its entertainment value but mainly because of the rich variety of characters and the complexity of the Bleach universe. I have seen other anime series but it rarely happens that I can form real emotional bonds with the characters. To me it is important that I am able to actually care what happens to at least some of these people.

It is just a short season of 10 episodes. "Canon" returns at the beginning of April.

I am impatient too but I can wait a bit longer. I think the end of the main Zanpakutou story was excellent and I actually like it that I can have a few more stories with the Zanpakutou spirits.

By the way, next week we will get a new ending music and animation. I am looking forward to that!

I enjoyed 255, it had some good action. Also I'm not surprised that the filler will still go on for a couple reasons. The first is that they have to fix the continuity or at least show the after-effects of Byakuya's betrayal. You know they won't just let him get away with it, and that would be lame if they did. Second, I don't think the manga is far enough ahead yet.

I don`t think there is a lot of continuity to fix. I am sure that we won`t see these Zanpakutou spirits in “canon” Bleach but that is not a problem. Hopefully they will come back in other future fillers, especially longer ones and we get the simple explanation that Zanpakutou spirits can take on whatever form they want.

I also hope that there will be some consequences of what Byakuya did. Maybe this 10-part story will also be about Byakuya redeeming himself. I don`t think there will be any real punishment (the justice system the soul society has is a bad joke anyway) but repairing lost trust could be difficult in some cases.

The manga is indeed not very far ahead. It didn`t help that there were delays because of various holidays. Better wait a bit longer than having to interrupt “canon” soon again for another filler.

It is quiet again but we are getting closer to the return to “canon” Bleach. I like this second Zanpakutou story as well. It is good fun, something light before the darkness starts.

Maybe this is interesting to some of you: The results of the “Best Battle” poll in Shonen Jump weekly just came out:

1. Byakuya vs. Ichigo 551 votes
2. Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra 512 votes
3. Ichigo vs. Grimmjow 457 votes
4. Ichigo vs. Renji 457 votes
5. Ichimaru vs. Hitsugaya
6. Renji vs. Byakuya
7. Rukia vs. Aaroniero
8. Ishida vs. Mayuri
9. Yoruichi vs. Soifon
10. Kenpachi vs. Nnoitra

This means the coming Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra fight we are waiting for reached second place! I was wondering if it could reach the first place but on the other hand, first and second place are very close together. I am also happy that my second favourite, Ishida vs. Mayuri, reached place 8.

Well, I'm still watching there's really been nothing all that noteworthy to comment on though. It is good that the stage has moved back to Karakura town though.

I can understand that. This was really not more than fluff. I didn`t mind but mainly because I was watching this episode with my 7-year-old daughter and she likes Snakey and Chimpette so much. I can imagine that other younger viewers also enjoyed this episode a lot.

The next episode is featuring Hanataro. I liked him and this could be good fun, not only for kids. Then we get another Hisagi/Kazeshini episode. I always like those! Afterwards Orihime seems to play an important part "The person with the unknown ability! Orihime is targeted". That doesn`t sound like pure comedy and will hopefully also feature Ishida and Chad.

I don`t know about the other four episodes yet but it seems "canon" starts April 13.

Hadn't checked on this thread in months. I just lost any and all interest in this plot arc. (Started out well enough, but then it nose-dived.

Based on this thread though, it looks like the Bleach Filler Arc(s?) will be over with in a few more weeks!

Cool.

I'll see you guys back around April.

Can't wait for the rest of that Fight (finally!)

^Has the Manga come close to revealing the circumstances behind Papa Kurosaki?

If not, I really don't think they're a few chapters from the "Ultimate End"

Tite Kubo has commented on story ideas for the next several years, last time I heard.

Is the ultimate end referring to the Manga series itself or just the end and start of a new manga arc? (Havent read/followed the manga itself yet)

I'm assuming it would mean the finale where Kubo decides to end Bleach and write a new series.

Somehow though I think this is going to go on for much longer. I just have a feeling this isn't going to end even if Aizen is taken out. :shifty:
